I spent almost four years of two times a week. Still wasn’t enough time to get a black belt. As an adult it’s possible I believe if you are good and work hard.

What's interesting to me is that you don't see sny super advanced technique's used. A common Judo toss (I assume, I've only trained BJJ) and an armbar. I'd expected some crazy techniques but no it was mastery of the basics.

Yeh. The big secret about Muay Thai in terms of KICKS is that Muay Thai only has TWO: front kick variation and the round kick. That's it. Korean martial arts has a shit tonne of kicks from different angles and elevations each with as much power and lethal as anything Muay Thai can dish out. The problem with Korean martial arts: shit boxing. Even guys who did point fighting like Rogan did when he was a 'champ', none of them have decent foot work and none of those motherfuckers could throw a decent combo -- it's kik oriented and that's all there is. Muay Thai is lethal with the inside fighting and solid boxing. Rogan got the kick part of it but was just a mediocre pugilist -- but then again he did point fighting bullshit like Michael Jai White.
