That's a pretty badass bike. I like to work with junk parts building Klunkers. I modified an old Nishiki road bike frame into a BMX with single speed with coaster brake. I call it the Blue Graveler

Hai mate actually there is fixed gear and freewheel on the other side so as long as she uses freewheel she needs the brake!

What an lovely restoration. Well done! It seems to be Fashion Line 307. It's from the latter half of '80s. NOT from the '50s 😀It's got Shimano Positron gearing system that have indexing built inside the rear derailleur and stiff "piano wire" instead of typical cable. If you want to be able to change the gears again you need to have that stiff wire - the normal cables won't work because they are not able to push - only pull. Also the bottom bracket is weird on these. They make adapters to take normal BSA style bottom brackets but the weird one that comes with these is built like an tank so no need to change the BB unless you really want to (these were cheap bikes at the time so imho it's not worth it) . I love these old Crescents (and Monarks - it's the same company) - they are robust quality bikes from Sweden.
