My buddy Casey went on a 4 day trip and I joined him for a ride from Hope to Lytton, Lillooet, Cache Creek, back to Lillooet, one night camping there, then back to Lytton and Hope through the Fraser Canyon. It was spectacular!!! Enjoy!!!

I was following the manual step by step and wanted to put it in a video to show what needs to be done. The dust seal on the left side gave me a bit of a hard time, but it all worked out. The front left fork was not seated correctly, so I had the brake disc touching the caliper. A little push on the front fork and it got seated correctly and everything went back together fine. My speedo cable snapped couple year ago, in the middle of a Romanian trip. It was pretty interesting ride back, with all the speed cameras everywhere, basically just guesstimating my speed.
The only thing I could suggest is make sure the axel is screwed in and the nut is tightened well, spin the wheel and then tighten the pinch bolts. You probably did this anyway but it would ensure the wheel is properly centred before locking the lower fork legs in position with the pinch bolts. I will carefully check mine the next time I have the front wheel off. Thanks for the heads up on a potential issue that can be easily overlooked. Absolutely magnificent motorcycle. I ‘m working on getting one like this very soon. I got one more spot in my garage next to my Honda VFR 1200X Crosstourer.
Great choice, you will love it! I have ridden down to Dubrovnik several times on a Valkyrie and it's just the best. Mountains to the left and the sea to the right, great campgrounds, friendly people and amazing food! Let me know when you get your Valkyrie ;-)
@@vancityvalkyrie wow really, you rode your Valkyrie down the Croatia’s famous Magistrala, coastal road going to Dubrovnik? But it looks to me that you’re somewhere in N. America like USA or Canada. You shipped the Valk to Europe and then did the roadtrip here?!
@@RideCroatia I'm originally from Germany. Long story short... my dad bought his Valkyrie while I just got my driver's license for motorcycles and I was not allowed to ride such a big bike yet. When I turned 20 he tossed me the keys and said "here, go ride the dragon!" Since then I am addicted to the Valkyrie. Rode all of Europe and Croatia was always my favourite. Stayed a long time at Camp Male Ciste campground, rode up Sveti Jure, just enjoyed every second. The Valkyrie I am riding now I bought in Germany in 2014 and imported it to Canada in 2018. Since then we're exploring the Pacific North West. Beautiful roads, but if I had to choose again... I would take the alpine passes and Croatia over here. Ride a Valkyrie on Stelvio Pass, you'll understand. Low torque power and handling, you will love it!!!

Male Ciste camp is in Drvenik town, beautiful little place on the coast, just under the Biokovo mountain. And you went to Sveti Jure (Saint George) mountain top of the Biokovo mountaim with the Valk! You’re an ace in my book 😁 been there 2 times with the Crosstourer, after all, that machine was built for that. My profile photo here on YT was taken on top of Biokovo mountain on Sveti Jure! 😃 One of my best friends lives in Vancouver, he is also from Croatia, he is out there all the time with his Jeep Wrangler traveling the coast, I have a general plan of visiting him there. When you decide to come to Croatia to ride again, let me know in advance. We will ride together and, hopefully by that time, I’ll be also riding the mighty Valk!

Thanks, Rob! Casey just had his 10 year anniversary with his Valkyrie. His views??? He freakin loves the bike and he especially loves to ride 2 Valkyries together. Can you stack this Pro Mist filter with DJI's ND filters? I tried it with Freewell NDs, but it didn't work.

The Valkyrie is a cold blooded beast to start up in winter. But, once the carburetors are warm, there is no better ride. It's like having two heaters by your feet.
Carbed bikes sound so much better than FI ones.
Love the exhaust note on your Valkyrie! I’m currently riding a retro style Kawasaki Z900RS, and the bike I had before that was the 1200 Vmax. Currently looking at the 1500 Valk myself… Thanks for sharing.
You will love the Valkyrie when you get one! Smooth running engine and pretty easy to maintain by yourself. Plus, the bike you get for that price… unbeatable. Let me know how it goes 👌🏻

It never gets old. No matter how many times I twist the throttle on my Valkyrie it makes me smile. I love your videos, especially when the dirt road leaving my house is to muddy or snowy.

I had a gentleman following me for a while on a great stretch of road on this ride. He was on a 2024 Indian Darkhorse and I was wondering why he wouldn’t just overtake me. When we stopped at the lake he said “he just wanted to follow and enjoy the symphony”. 😉 I’ll take that as a compliment.

Dude, I got my bike last month and have been riding to my college classes every day (Rains A LOT in Oregon) and started to hear something similar and it’s been freaking me out so thanks for this video, taking her to the shop tomorrow
If it’s a Valkyrie, tell the shop mechanic to pay attention to the bearings. Left and right side are different sizes. If it gets mixed up the wheel can’t be remounted. Glad to hear the video was of help! Get it fixed and enjoy again soon 👌🏻

Agreed and not... check out officer Patrick McNulty. He was right from the beginning and just taught me to be aware and being able to do this trip. Why didn't anyone else of the CBSA officers tell us about our rights!?! Being locked up here and not being able to leave the country hit me hard. I'll never forget!
