It was a while ago now but I think it's because I had already bleached my hair to a light enough yellow 🙈

Hi! Thank you for the compliments and advice. It says in the instructions to shampoo the hair before applying the colour, so that's just what I was following 🙈 As for leaving in the dye for hours; I had read that Directions isn't damaging since it doesn't contain peroxide. Maybe I shouldn't have left it in for that long haha, but I also read somewhere that you could leave it in for longer than 15-30 minutes, and since I diluted it with conditioner I figured it would be okay. Might have overdone it although my hair felt completely fine after rinsing 😅 All the damage done do it have been from bleaching it so much. I'm aware that for bleach and other hair dyes that do have developer, you shouldn't shampoo your hair due to the reasons you wrote, and I always follow those instructions. I really do appreciate your concern though!

Hii, sorry if this is a late reply 🙈 You could try with a section of your hair first to see if it works without bleach! But since it didn't work with purple, I would suggest you to bleach before you redye it blue! Hope this helps 🥰 and thank you so much 🥺💖 Hope you'll have a lovely Christmas💕

Yeah, it says to leave it in for around 15 mins on the bottles ^^; But hmm, I don't think it's necessarily unhealthy since it's semi-permanent hair dye and doesn't have harsh chemicals in it like some other hair dyes do (ones that also lighten the hair in the process). I also diluted the dye with conditioner, so I didn't use it as "pure" hair dye. There are conditioners that you can leave in overnight as well, so I don't think there's much of a problem with that either, although I could be wrong. There are quite a lot of people who leave it in overnight as well, from what I've heard. The only downside to it that I noticed was that my hair was a bit greasy afterwards. Maybe it would be unhealthy if you're allergic to some of the ingredients, or don't react too well to them :o And as for the results, in my own experience, the amount of time I left the dye in my hair did matter in terms of how easily it would wash out, but idk, it could be a placebo effect. Thank you for your sharing your thoughts on it c: If someone asked me for advice, I don't think I would've suggested people to do it the same way I do it of course. I would mostly just say that this is how I do it 😊

You are probably right. It's all chemical anyway that actually makes the color, so I guess you have a lot of chemicals in your hair all the time until it gets completely washed out. BTW, I have midnight - rubine ombre hair and I noticed that red washes out a lot more and a lot faster than blue. From shower water to the color actually not staying in the hair so long.

@@SpicyKdestiny yess, so sorry for such a late reply! I've never had red hair before but yeahhh, I have heard that it's quite a difficult colour to maintain. As for blue I've heard that it's hard to get rid of. And may I say, if that's your hair in your display picture, it looks stunning! 🙈
