Hey again! Another great video. I'm caught up now. A couple of new tips though! And one is only because you've missed several item pickups, and even if you're not trying to get all of them, I promise you'll need a large handful of them for later parts in the game. You're not limited to 5 missiles. If you listen closely in certain rooms, you can hear a faint humming sound amidst the music. It's subtle but it's there. That indicates an item is hidden nearby. All of those orange floating missile-looking things are missile expansions, and they all increase your missile count by 5. Your max missiles you can get in the game is 250. In the Ruins, there are two rooms with walls you can blow open for missile expansions. I won't say where in case you want to find them on your own, but a few of the walls can be broken. They're super easy to miss unless you already know they're there. My other tip has to do with the two rooms with the runes. They don't reset until you leave the room. A couple of the runes are well-hidden, and I'm sure by now you've already found them? I'm not sure how long you were playing after this upload, or if you gave up and that's why you haven't uploaded part 4? But a hint at least for where the ones you're missing are to help ease your frustration? In the smaller room, one is near the door you come in from, and the other is near the final lock. In the room with the huge tree in the center, one is way up at the top and the other you're missing is near the center of the tree as you're going around. And the other, again, is somewhere near the top. That's the approximate locations without saying exactly where they are. It isn't until Prime 3 that any of the games tell you where stuff is on the map, and even then it's item pickups you've missed...and even then you can't until halfway or more through the game, and it requires you to go out of your way for it. I agree it's annoying as hell sometimes. But you're doing great! It's so much fun watching you play, and seriously you deserve more views and followers than this. The content is great, and it's literally one of the best let's-plays I've seen, even among larger creators. I'm seriously so excited to see you play through the rest of the game. I can stop giving hints if you want me to. I also really hope you decide to do Primes 2 and 3 after this on the Trilogy version for Wii. 😆

Humbly speaking, as a veteran and master player of this game, it is always seriously amazing to watch somebody play for their first time. It reminds me of how I felt playing the first time, and God do I wish I could go back and do that again. Amazing gameplay though! And I look forward to sticking with you through your journey. Pro-tip though and you can feel free to ignore me. But you can rapid-fire missiles by very quickly and repeatedly alternating between pressing the "R" and "A" buttons. Pressing "A" cancels the animation following a missile fire. Also I know you said you weren't going to be scanning absolutely everything, but you do unlock the "full" ending if you find all of the power-ups and complete the log book. The overall story of the game is extemely subtle, and the only real way to gain a true sense of understanding for what is going on is scanning things, especially Lore logs. Shimmering wall panels are Chozo lore, and the Pirate Data logs are all in Pirate facilities and show up as red on screens in the scan visor. You don't have to, just throwing it out there.

Sly 2 has less minigames compared to normal on-foot gameplay but all the future games still have them. But they fix the Sly 1 problem where they're the hardest part of the game, and most of the difficulty comes from not having enough time to learn the controls. They (mostly) pick a few and stick with them, introducing them in an easy form and giving you plenty of time to get good with them. They're also usually contextualized better than just entering the minigame dimension where you have to shoot crabs now for some reason.

What you're supposed to do at the turret gauntlet at around 4 minutes is use the visibomb through the vents behind the building to kill each gunner.

AM2R is worth a playthough.

Just so you know, the movers at the beginning WERE Machokes in Ruby/Sapphire. They changed them for Emerald, so you did remember correctly. Excited for this playthrough!

Dude, my brother and I sunk sooo many hours into this game on the GameCube and it was such a fun time. We never had a memory card so we only got to like the 3rd or 4th course 😂 Great episode and work dude. Maybe now I can see more than the 1st couple courses lmao 😆

I remember getting 300% in UC mode in Gundam vs Zeta Gundam. Took ages, but damn did I enjoy that game. This and Encounters in Space are easily my favorite PS2 Gundam games. It's kinda too bad the Gundam vs series dropped the single player story modes entirely. Would have been really cool to see games similarly covering up through CCA or doing the other timelines.

a "chill" playthrough? in a kirby game?! You'd probably like kirby super star imo it's one of the best. Edit: the SNES just looks better than the gba, but as far as power the gba won by a long shot. I believe the sprite work and small screen/poor resolution hurt it and made people think the snes was better.

in most emulators you can add in some artificial deadzone on the sticks. This should help with carving and cornering. I use 5-10%

Yes I remember this being hard younger! I even did a quick playthrough of Sly 1 while you were away and I lost like 10 lives from trying to rush so still hard now. Glad you're back and hope you continue on to Sly 2 after this to see the changes and improvements they made.

Not-so-fun fact about this race is that it's pretty hard because this entire EPISODE was supposed to be swapped with the episode that ended up being the 4th episode, that one having a much easier race that was supposed to introduce the concept. I remember I ditched this game when I was younger because of this race, and only just finished this game for the first time a few years ago, even though the next 2 games are some of my favorite games of all time. Enjoying your series so far, I hope you enjoy the rest of the game! Subbed!

Awesome seeing 2 levels and 1 clue cleanup run get done in a video! Slow mo in theory could help you time your double jump but nothing requires that tight of timing really.
