For me, an epic trip to Mount St Helens to hike to the top in the snow, and glissade back down most of it, thanks to some confident advice from a ranger at the top! Volcanoes in all directions, blue skies, gleaming white snow, even an inversion. What a day! One of my most exciting mountain days so far!

A super trip up Wales highest mountain in early June 2024 on a lovely day which started overcast but got better as day went on! Up the Pyg Track, (had fancied Crib Goch but was a bit nervous of the wind which was quite blustery low down) and back via the second half of the Snowdon horseshoe with a little scrambling over Y Llowedd West and East peaks and Llyn LLydaw. Another super mountain day!

A beautiful day in the reeks on a fairly busy Sunday April 2024. Coumloughra horseshoe in a clockwise direction. Irelands three highest mountains in one of the finest horseshoe routes in the country. First bit of real sunshine and warmth in 2024! Beenkeragh ridge is fun in these conditions!

A long drive up to the beautiful Inishowen peminsula to explore some of the hikes and sites over 3 days in early September 2023. Gorgeous beaches and lovely purple heathered mountains. Great spot to spend time in the outdoors!

Another beautiful long day in the Mournes which turned out far better than expected! Clouds cleared in the afternoon to allow me to cover all of the 700m mountains in the Mournes in one lovely July day! Such an amazing place to spend time!

A beautiful day on the cliffs of Moher from Liscannor (almost) to Doolin and back. Around 18km. Very busy around the middle section visitor centre, but found a lovely quiet spot with superb view, for lunch!

A most beautiful day in the Arrochar Alps, Scotland on Good Friday 2023. Astounding views in all directions from both summits. Videos and photos don't really do it justice - but a cracking day!

A 3 (long) day hike around the Dingle peninsula in Co. Kerry towards the end of the summer in August 2022. Longer distances than expected, so a few detours off route, but a great three days walking. A short (relatively) cycle adventure up the coast of Antrim from Carrickfergus to Ballycastle via the coast road and Torr Head on day 1. A quick boat out to Rathlin island for an afternoon on day 2 and return cycle the third day, back down via the Dark Hedges (of Game of Thrones fame) across the glens of Antrim back to Carrickfergus.
