Hi! I didn't get my bulbs into the ground, and we're about six weeks from first frost. Should I go ahead and plant them now or try to overwinter them in the garage and put them in next year?

They ate my gladiolus to the nub! And I found giant leopard slugs in my raised beds for the first time yesterday. I couldn't believe my eyes! And I'd already pruned off decaying/yellowing leaves from all the plants so they couldn't have been after those. 😢

What the heck? Now I have to do a Google search lol

My children are: 1 large Alocasia 🐘 ear, ( Fiona aka Fi-Fi😊), a fairly sizable Monstera Deliciosa , 2 Bromeliads, several Pothos, 2 Ponytail Palms, a Majesty Palm, 2 Bromeliads, 1 Prosper Bamboo, and a Maranta(dang didn’t realize I had so many kiddos😂). Everyone seems to be happy in their newfound 🏡. They are really thriving! As a new plant 🌱 mom I have a tendency to overthink , and freak out when I see any new occurrence involving my babies. Is this normal , or am I being extra ?🤔 When moments like this happen I immediately retreat to your channel for answers , and solutions to my problems. Thanks for sharing so much because your content is informational and comforting!

Im getting flowers on my elephant ear plants. Do you allow the flowers to bloom? Or do you cut them in hopes of encouraging more leaves? It's the end of August in Minnesota. There's not much of a growing season left. But Im thinking about bringing the planter inside. 4:17

This is just food for thought, something I have experienced personally and also a scientifically proved fact. Whenever you're out in your Garden, ALWAYS be totally barefoot because our soles love and deserve that freedom. They love to feel various textures of soil between their toes. Apart from n it's very healthy to be barefoot outside. Take for example two plants, one grown inside a pot and tge other grown in Nature. However much you water and use fertilizer, it never looks as healthy as the latter. This is simply because the roots have a limited space to stread and the Nurishment too is the same. The soles of our feet are like the roots of a tree.When you're not barefoot that natural process is obstructed. Our soles are designs to absorb things which are essential to lead a healthy lifestyle. However, use of footwear deprives this process. Apart from that there are a large number of Sensors / Nerve endings on the soles of our feet, which connects from head to toe. When we walk on Sand, Gravel and Tiny Stones /Pebbles,our entire body gets stimulated through these sensors. Once again Footwear deprives this natural process. So, go barefoot always for good health and happy feet and soles

The weather was so weird this year! We started out hot and dry, then got wet and cool, now we're back to hot and dry. I have a native milkweed that put out a seedpod this year, so I'm keeping a close eye. I want more!

It's hard to be a thrifty gardener these days. Striving for sustainability is important but starting can be difficult and expensive. Those plant towers and self watering planters are not cheap.

My elephant ear bulbs grew little green tips about an inch tall but that's it and it has been like that for MONTHS! i don't know what to do he used to be such a big happy guy then he died and now i can't get him to grow anymore. I live in AZ, i have him inside by south facing window, he gets a lot of sun and i check the water with a meter to avoid over watering. Maybe i can get some advice here because IDK what to do anymore!!

To help the seeds germinate faster, you can nick The seeds with clippers. Because of the hard outer shell!

The yellow pro-mix was on clearance at our local Walmart before I had a chance to grab any. Another year, another *D'OH* on my getting deeply discounted potting mix at the end of the season. I guess I better keep my eye on the moisture control one just in case LOL

I allowed my elephant ears to stay outside all summer long and they were beautiful and lush and amazing looking. They loved the sun, but after a month, I started noticing this spiderweb looking stuff on it, and the edges of my leaves are and turning brown and a little crispy, please help. 🥹

Do u put ur potted canna lilies in part sun like more shade than sun do they grow well?
