Sorry you didn't enjoy your time in Saigon. It's a little ironic for me in that the French left their stamp their with all the parks, great bread and of course coffee. Saigon is not at its best during winter late November- February with air pollution being bad. However it has great night life. The bar scene is the best I've encountered on my journeys. You may prefer to stay in district 7 Phú My Hung where it is cleaner and surrounded by greenery.

I agree Saigon and Vietnam in general is very dirty. My only explanation it is a culture that you just throw trashes around and on the ground and you or someone will clean it up later. You can see that culture inside homes, restaurants, markets, or everywhere outside for that matter. In many restaurants customers are allowed to throw things on the ground and the restaurants will be cleaned up later. Trashes in the streets or as you saw in the market will be swept and collected every night by cleaning crew. The cleanest time of the roads in the city or markets you can see is shortly after midnight after the trashes are swept and collected by cleaning crew. Enjoyed your videos by the way.
