After having a couple hikes where we never made it to our ultimate goals, we decided to give the Lantzville Lookout loop a go. Taking an average of an hour and 45 minutes to complete, it sounded manageable. It was easy to find the parking area thanks to Google, and there was ample parking there, at least when we went. Even though it was sunny and hot, the trail quickly headed into the trees for some shade. The trail turns into a loop somewhere along the line. If you head to the left, it is a steeper climb to the top. To the right, a more gradual ascent. Pick your poison! Both trails lead to the same great views.
