1995 Ford F150 Starter Replacement
After almost 30 years and 178k miles the starter in Black Betty my 1995 OBS F150 gave out! Let’s get this thing swapped out and see if we did any good! Be sure to like and subscribe!

This 351 Cleveland engine has been sitting and not started for around 4 years. This is not a step by step video, I’m just showing some things along the way as I prime the engine with fresh oil before we get this thing fired up in another few weeks! Wowwwwwwww That's unbelievable 😮
Now you'll be puttin in push in wheel bearings. You did it wrong. I learned the hard way never use a hammer, it will ruin a marginal bearing that you have to replace at your cost. Use a air hammer and a blunted chisel. Get a line going across the face where the wheel bolts. Keep working that line until you wear through, about minute, then the rotor just folds up and falls off.

@@brettwoodard167 Dad and I started on this about 14 years ago, then life happened college, work, all the usual stuff. Hoping to be taking it for paint this winter! They do take quite a while to do but a little bit at at time makes a difference! Is yours a 71 sports roof?
@@bwestbuildz Yes, I got it as a basket case with lots of parts missing and rust in the trunk area and cowl air vents. The rust is repairable without having to buy any panels, I just make my own patches from sheet metal.

A tool that has two functions. Anyone familiar with a hole punch for a note book knows what a hole punch is. It's purpose is right in the name. Should've shown the flanger.

Looking nice. I'm just a little further along on my 72. My biggest issue was previous owner replaced quarters and didn't do a good job of aligning everything. Trying to find the happy medium everywhere!
Im basically at the same point on my 71 sportsroof. Started fitting up the trunk pan today. Did you install your trunk pan, or was it ok? I haven't had a chance to check out the rest of your videos yet. It's looking good so far. Looking forward to seeing the taillight panel final fit
Yes I installed a new trunk pan, I thought mine was ok but started cleaning it up and found a lot of rust. I’ll see if I can make a video of how I cut and fit the trunk pan to the rest of the car. Mine has the fold down rear seat so it was a little tricky! Really appreciate the support!

Just watched your air cleaner video. I'll find out this weekend if I have hood clearance. I have a 460 with Crites mounts in my 71. I'll probably have to modify the throttle linkage because there's really no good options to modify a NACA hood and make it look right.

You don't have to take them apart when throwing them away. The tow truck can take the whole thing.
Do you mean to say a Daewoo ? Because that's what they really are we bought a brand new Chevy Cruze in 2011 and from day one it was a piece of junk not worthy being used as a boat anchor ⚓ it's like the old saying you get what you pay for
It’s nice looking for an economy car, but even in running condition, in stock form all you have is a quickly depreciating vehicle that might eventually level out at $1,500. IMO, With all that work needing to be done to revive sub-par, undesirable / underpowered / unreliable components, you’d be much better off modding it into an all wheel or rear wheel LS swap. Yeah it would be a little more complicated but then after the level of effort you’re already having to put into it, you’ll end up with a cool ass car that would now hold more value, long and short term, not factoring in the fun & reliability factor.
