It takes forever to root monstera Peru. Keep us updated on those. I have started potting cuttings with leaf directly in pot with soil slightly damp and putting into a 2 gallon ziploc baggie (find at dollar tree). The added humidity really has helped root growth but the baggie needs to be opened for fresh air every other day for a few hours and then closed up again after blowing in air

Looks like mycorrhiza, very healthy for roots, they create a “web” in the soil providing nutrients in a more efficient way. 👍🏼🤘🏼

That's what I love about alocasias even with leaves damage, as long as the core rhizome is firm, it's never over! you can restart the plant :)

I use pon. And I am in Ontario Canada. I get it off of Amazon. Comes from Montreal.

I think ur plants need grow lights the internode space is very big and your leaves are quite small.

Only brave people use LECA as a substrate.

After perlite/moss stage of my corms, I transfer them in stratum to grow a big strong root system for a couple months, then to leca! I have amazing success that way as pon is not easily available in Canada and I love my alocasias in semi-hydro!

They are so cute when they are babies. Makes me want to unpot my polly and see if she has corms. I recently started adding about an inch of moss to the top of leca for alocasia and have had great results.

So cute!! I just grew out some veriagated frydek corms and I’m gonna grow them in pon I think.

I enjoyed this video so much! If you're worried about your plants going into shock, I would look into Great White Myco, it helps roots become stronger so the shock and the changes in care don't hit the plant as hard. Now when I repot my alocasias (or any plants really), they take it like champs and I do attribute it to great white! Other than that, I was doing some repotting of my own, loved this video and your channel. Have a great rest of your day!
