      I agree it's getting harder and harder for me to find HPHT stones. The good news is that the technology with CVD diamonds has improved so much that it seems there is very little or no difference. It's must be one or more of these things. CVD must cost less to create. CVD must grow faster. CVD must have improved their quality. I think they are created faster. Time is money. I will look into the true answer for you. Thank you for your comment. Terry

      We keep it. It costs less to size a ring down because we keep the gold. But if a customer ask for the gold back, we give it to them. Life is too short to worry about things like that.

    Lab diamonds are cheaper than natural BUT they are not optically better, and the margin is soooooo much higher. Jewelers make soooooo much more profit off of lab diamonds (that’s why they push lab diamonds)… Lab diamonds are also easy to identify because they tend to show strong grey and brown hues because if their growth process. Lab diamonds are also MORE destructive to the environment, and the lab diamond market is not regulated like the natural diamonds industry. There are so many ethical and environmental regulations that impact the natural diamond industry that helps to ensure blood diamonds do not make it to the market. Natural diamonds are the better option

    • @QuinnsGoldsmith
      @QuinnsGoldsmith Před 3 dny

      They don't show gray or brown hues at all. Everything else you might be correct about, but they look exactly like a diamond. Because they are a diamond. They are just grown at an excelerated rate.
