The Cotter Dam is a concrete gravity and rockfill embankment dam across the Cotter River, located in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia
We needed bigger bypass tunnels said no engineer on this project.
Based on the comments, it appears that this might be a dam still under construction. I'm not seeing any water being discharged. Is it just not visible in the video or did they not install any gates at this point? Glory hole spillway on the other side of the dam that just isn't visible?
It's totally visible towards the end with water gushing out the center.

Did the overflow damage the unfinished dam?
Concrete dams can be overtopped without catastrophic failure, unlike earth-fill dams that are worn away by the water and collapse.

@@CombraStudios There are a few smaller concrete dams that the top of the dam acts as a weir and emergency overflow for the dam on purpose. There is usually a small spillway built to the side for lower flow for marine traffic/fish to bypass the dam and even has a place for electrical generation.
