    Hi, thank you so much for the valuable information. Would that cause higher consumption in fuel please. I have E260 1991 and it consumes too much fuel. Also, the rev is in about 2000 rpm and the car is doing like 55miles per hour on top gear (4 automatic), if I want to do 70 miles per hour then the rev would be at 3200-3300 rpm. Please help and advise 😊

      @@inovahightechltd thank you so much for your reply. About 14L @ 100 miles. It’s 6 cylinder straight yes. I’ve been advised to change the rear Differential as there are two models, one is slower than the other!! The issue is that in order to get to 70miles per hours, I need to get the engine RPM height which rises the fuel consumption

    • @inovahightechltd
      @inovahightechltd Před 3 dny

      @IbrahimKADDOUR-j5b yes, the US model has a different ratio and lower maximum speed, but puts more torque out. 14L / 100km is correct for this car They are not very fuel efficient. The diesel version is better. A/C will add about 1L per 100km so das automatic transmission

    Very good well illustrated video! I have an 85 380SL and am having problem with intermit issue with high idle and wondering if you can assist me. After a good cleaning I bench test the ICV and seems to be working normal with the open and close when I applied 4 volts on my power supply unit. But it only shows .49 amps. After install it back on the engine and it started fine with idle normal around 750 rpm. When engine start getting hot, the rpm starts climbing to about 1400 rpm and few minutes later it went back down to normal. A few minutes later the rpm start climbing again. I tested the voltage on each cycle by disconnected the two prongs female connector when it idles at normal and it read about 4 volts. The rpm climbed when I disconnected and went back down to normal when plugged it back in. I did the same testing when it idles at 1400 rpm for few minutes. At high idle, the female connector reads 12-13 volts. Although, disconnect and reconnect the power at high idle does not effect the rpm. I repeated the testing for few times and each time it has the same affect. I assumed the high voltage put the ICV to the open position causing high idle. Should the input power to the ICV stay at around 4 volts after engine warmed up? Could this be an issue with ICM?

    Hi, i really love your videos because they have contain much useful information that you cant find elsewhere! Do you by any chance have the flow values for this? (I already tried finding information on this but without luck) And maybe a recommendation for the flow measuring device? I have a M103 that i tested and (if broken) replaced everything (including every sensor, eha, resealed the fuel distributor, injectors, seals, rubbers, even the caps on the ecu, etc....) but i just cant get it to run right (High fuel consumption (over 20L/KM) and under certain loads high pitched vibration on the gas pedal). I also measured the pressures and adjusted the duty cycle. I also measured the differences in flow between each cylinder but they are pretty even (~3-4%). I even bought a wideband lambda tool but under full load a weird symptom is showing -> It starts at like Lambda ~0.92 at 2000rpm and ends up at ~0.77 at 5500rpm, so way too rich. Maybe you know a way to make that curve flatter? Maybe with these adjustment screws? Many thanks in advance from germany!

    • @inovahightechltd

      @@Player-jz1bf I would adjust the mixture to 0.5 to 1 % CO on exhaust rather than the duty cycle. CO is adjusted at idle rpm then let it idle for about 30 seconds then rev up to 3000 rpm and watch CO - should fall below CO at idle. Then rev down to idle and let idle for a minute or two. CO should go back to the previous idle CO. Repeat this a few times until CO returns to same idle CO You may have to tweak the mixture adjust a little bit during this process

    Really great video!! Need some help - low idle, around 500 rpm and have been trying to get it up to 700 in gear, with AC on. 1. My ebay ICV has a screw in the threaded brass sleeve but it doesn’t see to do anything - should it? 2. It takes 1.3amps to close the valve. It seems that I should have a higher idle with that. 3. The bypass tube from the inlet to outlet rubber caps had an end capped off. Will it idle faster with that replaced with an actual tube, hole all the way through it?? 4. I tried moving the brass insert from flush with aluminum housing but even with a small hammer onto a screw threaded into the insert it didn’t seem to want to move. Is the screw banged on the table the best way?

      Low idle in neutral / park with a/c compressor running or in drive?

      @@inovahightechltd 700 in park with AC on, 500 in gear with AC on. The AC won't turn off, I likely have to replace the dashboard switch assembly but I'm in Las Vegas and it's supposed to be 107F today. Not messing with a functioning AC!! I just opened up the bypass tube and haven't started it yet.

      @@VegasMikeP229 it’s probably 550 in gear which is normal. The AC Kompressor Relay send one 12V signal to the idle speed control unit which increases rpm by about 50 to 100rpm The A/C compressor relay is controlled by the climate control unit. Pull the compressor relay and see what happens first. It appears that your idle speed valve and idle speed controller are fine

      @@inovahightechltd Ok, it changed but I'm leaving it alone for a while. Hot, it idles at 900 in neutral but around 700 in gear w/AC. The ICV will go almost closed at about 950ma, hang, then close at 1.3A. I'm hoping that just running it for a while will fix the little "catch". I put in an open bypass tube and I'm guessing that's probably why the idle went up. Any idea what the hole size should be? The car ('87 560SEC) had a terrible idle and huge hesitation on minor acceleration. Three different shops have replaced pretty much all the rubber "stuff" on top of the engine, rebuilt but validated Fuel Distributor, new injectors & buckets & o-rings. Even with all that, the idle was close to smooth (most of the time) and acceleration was mostly smooth. Hold the idle at 700 and acceleration was *always* smooth. Yep, multiple problems in a row.

      TDC Signal muss bei Fahrt beobachtet werden bis Fehler auftritt. Bei Ausfall ist ZDL zuüberprüfen. Zuerst die Paste auf Rückseite erneuern (trocknet mit Zeit aus) um korrekte Kühlung zu garantieren. Dann nochmals Test fahrt durchführen. Falls Fehler immer noch auftritt, ZDL erneuern.

      Bei welcher Außentemperatur ergibt sich dieses Problem? Vermutlich defektes Kraftstoff Pumpen Relais. Das Relais hat auch die Funktion der Drehzahl Begrenzung, die schaltet K Pumpen dann ab. Lässt sich der Wagen bei hoher Außentemperatur und warm gelaufenen Motor gut starten? Falls nicht, Kraftstoff Speicher bei Pumpen mal überprüfen ( MB Nummer 0004760921 ).

      Das Motorsteuergerät hat keine Funktion beim starten. Es gibt aber die Kühlwasser Temperatur and das KPR durch. Das Zündgerät konvertiert das Signal vom Kurbelwellensor in eine Frequenzabhängige Rechteckspannung welches vom ZDL an alle verteilt wird, inklusive Klima Steuergerät, KPR, ECU, Drehzahlmesser. Diese Signal heißt TDC. Wenn das KPR das TDC Signal verliert, schaltet es sofort die Pumpen ab. Wenn das KPR überbrückt wird und die Pumpen laufen sollte man an einer Zündkerze auf Zündung beim starten prüfen. Keine Zündfunke heißt dann zuerst Zündspule überprüfen (Widerstandsmessung) dann das ZDL Wenn das alles in Ordnung ist liegt der Fehler im Benzin Kreislauf. Zuerst Kraftstoff Speicher überprüfen und falls nötig erneuern. Dann Kraftstoff Druck an Ober und Unterkammer am Mengenverteiler überprüfen. Falls nötig, Druck Regler erneuern oder bei zu hohem Druck die rückleitung auf Verstopfung überprüfen

Habe schon neue Kurbelwellen Zensor gewechselt, neue Benzin Pumpen Relais, neue Zündholzes, wegfahr Sperre ab gemacht. Kann sein das zündsteuergerät, oder Motorsteuergerät das Problem sind Mit freundlichen Grüßen Soydan

    What a great video!! I've been having idle difficulties in my '87 560SEC and this is the troubleshooting advice I needed!! Downloaded the drawings too. I have a new ICSV coming and will use your guidance to get it running right. I'm an ex-US Navy electronics tech and understood what you were teaching us. I also highly recommend the use of 63/37 solder!! It not only has a great rosin in it, it's the eutectic alloy of tin and lead, which has the lowest melting temperature.

    All the parts were made in west Germany. That is why they lasted 40 years.. the new parts will not last as long.... That is for sure..... Although Taiwan makes good quality electronics.. I trust their parts..... I have the same Mercedes parts made in Taiwan on my car for about two years... No issues....
