This performance was uniquely Amber. Any version previously recorded is nice but not nearly as soul stirring and touching as this. For those who reference Yebba (an incredible singer), maybe one rif is similar but the fullness of her voice, succinctness in her vocal choices, purposefulness of each note, the instrumental arrangement, and singular conviction emanating from her THROAT and SOUL is Amber's own. Thanks to John for writing this meaningful song and to Amber for "doing to this song what Whitney did to the Star spangled banner". Amber's version is now THE standard for this song. Record a better version if you can, I'd love to hear it.
