This is the best pop rock song I’ve heard released in more than a decade.

I really like Teenage Fanclub, especially Norman Blake who consistently writes the best few songs on every album. I also like that they stick to the same formula. It is remarkable that over 30 years there has been virtually no musical evolution - any song on any of the 12 albums could have appeared on any other album without raising a single eyebrow. That's not to say there has been no evolution. The lyrics have become more reflective over time.
