I used to write fanfic for the HTTYD fandom, and I stopped after the fandom turned its back on me for reasons I still don't really know? But HTTYD is, and always will be, my favorite franchise, and I agreed with probably 99% if not 100% of what you said in this video. I'm super sad to see what corporate America and Hollywood are doing to this franchise, but that's also why I chose not to watch 9 Realms, and I'm torn on if I'm gonna watch the LA movie. I just know they're going to ruin it, twist the original movie, like what they did with the LA Avatar movies - both times. On the topic of Fourth Wing... I personally don't love the book, but I also hate YA books and I hate both MCs xD I like the dragons but hate the humans, they're very contrived and ridiculous overall (In MY OWN personal opinion, just mine). But I never really saw it as 'HTTYD for adults' because aside from Dragons, and a het couple, it has no real similarities. I think they exist in the same genre of 'dragon fantasy' but I don't see how one is stealing or replacing the other. It's like you said, your childhood won't be ruined because it already happened. Fourth Wing being popular doesn't have to, nor do I think it will, reduce the love or inspiration that was the HTTYD movies (1 and 2 mostly). Anyway! Thank you for making this video, you're beautiful and I just wanted to say that I think you're prettymuch on point with all of your topics.

What I love most about RTTE is that the characters are deeper and evolve between them, each one learns from their mistakes and change between them and do not stay in one plane, I also love that the series connects with the movies, especially the ending, all the references that were previously given about HTTYD 2 (valka, drago, the king of dragons etc.. ..) i would have liked them to go deeper into the history of the berserks and their connection with the dragon king especially the role played by Oswald "the Agreeable"
