Carving a beech table leg! How to #Woodcarving!!! Cabriole table leg!
This is my method of carving a Cabriole beech leg using the wood router as much as possible for better results!
Of course the full video was many hours but i tried to sqeeze it up to a couple of minutes!!!

This time i thought to make some snowy #Christmastrees to change it up a little!!! I used brown sap to give a darker colour to beech wood but the ideal was to use dark walnut...maybe next time!!! what size piece of wood do you start with?
It depends on the size of the tree that I want to make!!! 20 cm approximately is a the medium size!😊🙏😊

If you put a bit of green coloring on them couldn't we still see any of the woods grain. Otherwise these are awesome

I love the finish on this, but how do you know that the number of sanded indents are going to be evenly spaced around the tree?
After making a couple of same sized trees.... you get the touch of it!!!😁👍

Don't worry Annie... it's beech but i use a coloured varnish at the end to make it look brownish!!!🙂🙏

Yes this particular tool is self made... but there are commercially produced... search for "Bedan lathe tool" 🙂!!!
