Day 4 started with a ride from Beroun tp the old Karlštejn Castle. Despite some parking challenges and a walk up the hill, the picturesque views make it worthwhile. We head towards Brno, encountering changing weather and scenic highway views. We ended the day in Otrokovice.

Hey man, thank you for watching! I was definitely intimidated by it the first few times I rode also as a total beginner, but with time it gets easier. I think you’ll be fine if you’re around 180+ cm. It was and still is a dream bike for me, great on and off road. Srečno in lep pozdrav! ✌️

I have herd so many bad reports about this Border crossing, seems a lot easier on a bike compared to a car I was thinking about hiring a car from Dubrovnik and driving down to Kotor for the night with my Family, though we have to be back at Dubrovnik airport by 10 am. Do you have any recommendations, cheers.
The borders were always very smooth for us with the bikes until now. Many cars have to stop and get searched. The coastal roads and towns in Montenegro are pretty busy, so there’s quite a bit of traffic. If you leave Kotor early enough, you’ll be able to make it on time.

Great video series Florian.We are planning a trip to Croatia and B&H this year and your information on routes etc is very helpful for planning, so thanks for that. Can you tell me please, does your existing MC insurance policy cover you in the Balkans or did you have to buy insurance at the borders?
Thank you for watching, I’m glad it’s helpful! We got the green card from our insurance company (which covers the whole Europe) free of charge for the countries that require you to show it at the border. I think they changed it in some countries now where the card is not required anymore, only recommended to carry with you since they can tell if your bike is insured by looking at its license plate. Nobody asked for it when we crossed the borders. Hope that helps! ✌️

Yes you are correct, motor insurance covers EU travel as per the EU regs, and as I am in Ireland I am OK for Croatia etc. I will check with my broker re additional cover for B&H and possibly Montenegro, if we choose to include it in our trip? Damn, didn't want to watch this video earlier because I knew I was going to be desperate wanting to go back... 😅 Rode this roads back in 2017. Lovely, lovely area. 😍 Lovely country. My Honda Blackbird really wants to go back 😢 it remember this stone roads very well 😂 Just amazing country and scenic routes around, I really recommend bikers to go here.
