Don't take otherwise but for viewers I am adding this, so they can avoid this common mistake. College admission has short duration courses which they call certification courses or diplomas. Again as you said there was no one to guide you properly. It was May be a fast track diploma kind of certification to get PR. College education is supposed to be intermediate before university. Degrees allotted by universities and not by colleges. University degrees always have two or more years of duration. Canada isn't going to decline admission to someone who already has PG degree but still want to downgrade and enroll in college. Anyway it's helping the Canadian economy. However again this is not about you, please don't take it upon yourself, but some people who are only interested in PR would do that one year and call it a PG degree just to boast back in India. It's a win win for them and Canada too.

Not sure why the interviewer is instigating her to speak badly about the education system in Canada. Yes it might not be the toughest or the most modern, but you could discuss ways to improve it and make it better. There are a lot of positives as well with universities in Canada where in you can do work placements during your studies while studying which he conveniently didn't mention.

If a person as well off as her can get screwed like this, imagine students coming from rural India, thinking that Canada is some sort of paradise, who have nothing, just a head full of dreams and huge loans, what will happen to them? I can't believe she fell for even the consultants's trap. P.G Diploma? 8 months course? I mean what the hell was she thinking?

This is not a proper information. Go Cabada for a good educational programs from a Public University and you can achieve a good career. Colleges are selling diplomas just for their business. It's not worth to go in colleges now.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world. There are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia. Multiculturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Socialism bankrupts a country.

No matter how much "thorough research " one does from back home, the reality that hits anybody once they land here is going to be different. For many students getting a PR will be a priority but for a few lucky ones like her, it's not. The grass is always greener on the other side.

  • @sida8893

Canadian education has lower levels than what it is in India. Under privileged parents should think twice before sending their children to Canada. Everything that glitters it is not gold. Also, even after the research, everything what you see on Google, don’t believe. It is not like India at as we take India for granted so when you come here then only u realize how better India is terms of education but unfortunately our own country people sometimes don’t get that.

I knew her experience was going to be before it even started, GTA + Centennial + 8 months course. Education consultants sell this diploma mill. Had she been in a Masters, in a good university with a co-op program, and outside of GTA, things might have been a little different.

    • @honeydewim

Honestly, her story is just like that of a usual girl enticed by foreign media and luxury lifestyle, with mediocre academics, and going with the flow, with no focus. If you would have done proper research and got into top schools for those field than the education and learning part would have been better. I wonder why students even come to Canada with focus in studying. So called education in Canada is only for Canadian PR. Can’t land you a great job and a career anywhere in the world (except 2 top Canadian business schools).

She is extremely mature even through the host was trying to find an opportunity to blame Canada. She was great and got out of the situation. I am sad that a smart person like her is leaving. India is doing great and I am sure she will be awesome in India. Best of luck but I feel a lot of immigrants are being mistreated as they do not get the jobs that they should get based on their experience.

Usually, I don't spend much time on CZcams. in Australia, I've been assisting international students for the past four years. This interview is one of the best I've come across. The Girl is incredibly poised, likely due to her experiences abroad shaping her balanced perspective. She articulates her points calmly and sensibly, avoiding aggression. It's a valuable video that everyone should watch and learn from. I wish her the best as India's prospects are promising, especially in the coming decade. Her decision to return home for a better life is commendable. For those considering Canada or Australia, heed her advice and do thorough research. Overall, a fantastic interview.

In Canada or any developed country, it’s hard in the beginning because we start from 0, no family home-property or support, we have to work hard, after covid things are not same, recession too, it will be better next year, in America you get paid more than Canada. If you think India is better, plan to move there, you have family too, we should live happy life, live where you feel better.
