To me he looks very sagittal with this hips! His hips are SUPER deep at setup and throughout. You can see it very clearly by how much space his arms have to swing in the downswing his hips are essentially out of the way

What are tour thoughts on Bryson's irons 5 through to 60degree are all the same length ( of the 7iron)? Next level simplification of the swing?

Of all the videos on your channel that I have watched, this one is my favorite. I have never taken a hands on lesson from anyone and now I have completely trashed my "game" to learn the single plane swing, but like Moe I want to do it my way. But who knows, I might still be in one of your classes one day.

I saw a video from 94 where Moe said he rotated his ankles but never lifted his feet. He would lift back heel a little way after impact but he shot several where that back foot never moved more than a flinch from left to right.

Something that is very important also is he starts his left hip moving forward before the head of his club does, that is huge!

At no point is all of Moe Norman's arms in a single plane. At the start during the swing setup, only his forearm is in-plane with the golf club. His arms are about as straight as can be achieved given how you're hands must grip the club. The remainder of his swing motion is shallow on the backswing and only finally in-plane on the downswing just prior to striking the ball. It follows a thin looping motion backwards and then forwards. Admittedly, his swing setup is as flat or flatter and in-plane than any swing yet devised, but it cannot be said to be truly in-plane like a robot golfing machine. His clubs intersect his chest while his arms are in a different plane, (slightly angled at about +25°) relative to the club. There are several videos where his clubs are traced with a marker and they clearly show a varied multi-plane motion different from the backswing thru to the downswing.

I bet, if you hit ten million golf balls in your lifetime, at some point, you would likely hit it pure eventually. Moe claimed to hit as many as 800 practice balls daily. He ate, drank, and slept golf.

I tried your single swing method last week with some success. I was hitting short irons to the right until I found this video. Just came back from the range and all u can say is wow! Just wow! By pointing the club grip to my left hip at set up made all the difference. All I needed to do was turn. I was hitting my pitching wedge approximately 115 yards with a very nice sounding click noise at contact. I have tried several swing methods through the years and no doubt this us the most consistent and body friendly swing I gave ever tried. I will be swinging like this as long as I can.

What's sometimes frustrating is that all these videos that I've seen of him, he never really explains what he's doing, he just hits the ball and says, "See, it's just like that." Perhaps I just haven't found the right videos yet.

This is by far the most detailed explanation of the "proper" swing I've ever watched! I've been through hours of your teaching, but his "rang" a bell for me. The other videos were hard to determine what position the ball distance from the feet was being exhibited. This "full" view from your prospective over the ball with feet, arms, club head and takeaway are GOLD. Thank you for your hard work. Question: do you accept students in the 13 year old age group? If so, I'd like to send one of my Grand kids to you, is there a problem with him being left handed?

The man spoke in riddles. What does keeping everything "level" mean? I'm sure no one understood 90% of what Moe was talking about.

The pro shop owner is 75yrs old at my local range has been playing for 30yrs. I asked about Moe Norman and he had a chance to golf with him several times. I started repeating some of the things Moe would say “I can’t hit it crooked” and my pro shop owner confirmed Moe would repeat stuff 3 times all the time and he would always hit straight lasers. Pretty cool stories. He said Moe wasn’t any good at putting but everything else he was unbelievable in. Felt good to hear things like that from someone close to me that knew Moe like that.

Moe Norman was so good that he was a failure on the US Tour. 😅😂

He had freaky hand eye coordination and a built a swoing he could also repeat very easily. He had a head injury when he was young that may have lead to his mindset of insane practice. He just loved hitting golf balls and not much else
