Im grateful! that really helped me! Thank you so much.
My first car 7 years ago and had no idea i had this
Best explanation on the site. I was able to fix mine by using this video as a guide. If you are going to attempt this yourself, I wouldn't recommend drilling it. I'd recommend melting a hole using a needle or pin for extra longevity.
Thanks for your response. Glad it was of help.🤙😎
@@misscarmo2012 I did drop a 10mm on the right side of the dash and it fell all the way down though, not sure how to get it. But otherwise it works great. Thanks for the great quality video
Man….good point!!
What brand of spray gun are you using? I couldn't make it out. Thanks
SATA Jet 100 B with a 2.0 tip
The molding us already on show how you put it on
What are the measurements from drip rail to roof stud for vinyl top moldings
Where did you get your wheels? I've seen them offered by alot of companies, but finish I've seen has always been poor.
Mind me asking what grit you are using to remove it---I appreciate this info---God bless!
Is Epoxy primer best for 1980 Corvette
I heard that sound behind me in the woods once
"Promosm" 😝
How is the 307 lumpier than the bigger engines??
very nice fix to a common problem. I like your technique for this task. Thanks for sharing.
excellent point. I have seen rust more than once under EDP coating. Good to take the extra time to remove it. Thanks for sharing.
Yep I have done this to all of my First generation Firebird
Awesome video I live in Canada trying to buy some for my river boat have to get some for touch up seems hard to find up here
Same for me, that way when the body work and paint is done it will be a great fit.
You’ve got a great topic to work with. Quality of work appears to be good. You should really step up the content a LOT! Very few people are going to come back to watch a few seconds of how it looks, without much else.
Nice start to what could have been a good video. Not sure what the point of the video is as posted. Essentially the only thing it features is a busted Corvette.
Looks good!
Please more videos on prep work of the 1980 Vette please! How bad was the body before body work?
How difficult to remove it from the dash?
KC, it’s not difficult at all once you get the trim panels off around gauges then remove the top panel off of the dash it’s just removing 4 bolts.
wow theres alot of work needed there. Pass qtr is low right like 1/4 atleast. trunk not seating right. Anyone whos done this for a long time will know instantly this still has major issues here and like a hundred hours or fitting and body work left....
Nice color scheme! Is this car going to be forsale when done?
Yes
What are you looking to get for it?
Not sure, you always have a large amount of money invested in them so unless someone appreciates the restoration the investment (purchase) may not make sense.
How booked up are you currently for 1969 Camaro sheet replacement? How do I get in touch with you.
69 FOOT Camaro!
Looks great. Wish I could find a shop in my area that dose that.
Exactly how did you repair the front end of your Vette? In detail please.
Does the zolatone need a hardener catalyst?
No, I’ve never used it, but they do offer one.
I agree with you man it's always best to buy a car that's not been touched I bought a Chevy Nova ,and at the time I was building another car so I didn't look too close at the Nova long story short as I started cutting into the Nova I started finding all kinds of hackwork
I saw pics on facebook group. Hope you got the subframes i saw laying there as well.
how close to original spatter paint color is the zolatone?
They have several colors, I think it’s black and aqua and it’s spot on.
Very clean looking 1969 RS Camaro 💪👍🔥 !
Looks good black...I love the rubber bumper Vettes
Same color scheme as my 69 Camaro was from the factory, I think. Mine was Olympic gold with a Dover white top.
Yes Mike, this is right from the trim tag. Olympic Gold (code 65) with Dover White (code 50) Painted roof. Painting the wheels right now. Thanks for watching.
@@misscarmo2012 very cool… same as mine. Mine has dark green standard interior. Kind of a weird combo but I think it’s kind of neat.
What is on the trim tag that shows a special paint top? I have heard of this but only seen it once
You can say it you don't want somebody else's junk LOL I've never bought a project car I bought a car that was a project though LOL
the passinger door looks tucked in too far at the bottom , same problem that i am having on my camaro
Most aftermarket doors have a twist to them. Takes some manhandling to get in twisted.
you used a stud welder to fasten the studs? I am starting a 69 build that gets all new sheet metal so I will have to install all the studs for vinyl top molding. I was under the impression that I would need to use those screw in replacment studs like are used in windshield channel for moulding? What studs did you use. Thanks in advance.
I didnt see you do any seam.sealing
I know you feel real good and proud about yourself great job nice to see the car on the road again
Where you located? Great work man.
I just went through the same thing. I welded and shaped and welded and shaped. Didnt want filler cause im afraid it would break off a edge.
i have the same problem as Nick but my deck lid is way lower in the corners where the quarter/filler panel meet. any suggestions?
thata lots of new metal . i'm guessing 35 - 40 k to get to this point
That is a really nice Camaro! Paint code please
1969 Camaro code 71 LeMans Blue.
Without knowing the manufacturer this video is useless.
all you need to know is where to buy one,,,,seems to me
In the end it will still be garbage thrown together, unsafe at any speed
You Want To Come On By My Shop And Talk That Same Shit About The 67 Im Doing...?
Very nice 69 Camaro.
