I Fixed an Oil Leak on this New Holland Farm Tractor
zhlédnutí 11KPřed rokem
I had to fix an oil leak in this New Holland tractor because if left unchecked, it would seize up & end up costing the farm a fortune in parts to fix. Because the tractor is mainly used on the road for transporting kale from the fields & planting in the spring, it needed sorting ASAP. On Saturday morning, I replaced the front right hub seal at the farm so the tractor could continue working with...

Hello, I have a john deere 3350 tractor and there is an oil leaking from the exhaust. What are the appropriate solutions?
Hi I've got a 9800hr 820 with a starting issue. When starting it winds over for longer than normal and even when warm isn't like normal. I've also noticed it's slightly pressurising the diesel tank seems to be going fine the filters are all recently changed. The only thing different is I've replaced the filter unit with the lift pump in it as the plunger shaft got damaged on it this could all be a coincidence or something I've done
Hallo I have a tractor exactly like this and it takes a long time to start, it doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot, what could be the problem..?After it starts up When it starts it works perfectly, pulls well and doesn't smoke. thenx
Well done❤
Do you have the name of the place that refurbished your ecu? Much appreciated!
David king electronics uk 👍🛠️
Hi, great channel and fantastic information 👍 I have a 6180 and i bought it last year it had manual forward/ reverse fitted. And when I got it home I only noticed it wouldn't go into low box when I shifted over stick. I still worked away in hi and everything else worked. But this summer when I started her the 1,2,3,4 sticks in 3,4 position. I'm still working it every day by holding stick over to right hand side before I start engine and I can work away around yard. Wondering can you shine any light for me?? Keep the good work up 👍
Hi mick seen a few 61s where the wires have twisted round and come off the hi low switch on the side of the. Gear box. And seen a 3000 series where you could push the forward reverse lever to far and it would jam in either direction and you have to rock the tractor on the clutch to get it back into neutral, could be gear linkage on the inside of the side cover causing this glad your enjoy the channel 🛠️
@MARKMECHANICAL Thanks for your reply 👍 It's the 1,2,3,4 that goes solid when tractor running? I'll have to pull side plate off some day only a pain coz one tractor ☹️ Keep the good work up 👍
Hi Mark, may I know your email/preferred contact details. I would like to know more about what you do within the agricultural mechanical industry. If not that’s okay
Hi Lewis sorry for the late reply only just seen your comment my email is markmechanical936@gmail.com
Had the same problem, some years ago. The mechanic first meant it was the hydraulic sensor, later I found out it was the computer. Found someone who sold this refurbished computers, in exchange for my faulty one. It worked oud great, costs me around 400 Euro.
Could you tell me the place you found that refurbished your computer? Mine is also having issues, thank you!
Hi sir how can i speak with you i have a some question please need your help
y'all ever get folk as don't pay on time? can be kinda tricky on ya own working for folks.
Good video, just subscribed. I had a go on a 22 RB up there four years ago czcams.com/video/vX7m6hV0778/video.htmlsi=_YPPLWlDtxRuTHZG
Where do I start with error detection? Frog mode was difficult to switch on for a while, but now it can't be switched on. What could be the problem?
The question should be what did you buy the tap for?
Do u know how many hours the tractor had done?
Think it’s around 7k hrs
Bet y'all got a drink outta that job! loving the videos over here in Kentucky man
I was expecting you to say Deere did a reman unit but obviously they don’t. I bet that lot wasn’t cheap Mark??
I was thinking the same thing Trevor, it wasn’t cheap at all 🤣🤣🤣🛠️👍
Tapper tap, looks about M50 😮 tight one to turn. £10 from a car boot sale.
You’d need a drum of oil to keep that tap lubricated
I havnt got a tap wrench big enough for it yet 🤣🤣👍🛠️
2inch tap. Paid £20 used. No idea what it’s for though! 👍
Very very close 👍🛠️
Obviously a tap Mark but I wouldn’t have a clue about price or application??. Another interesting video by the way. Keep them up when you’ve time 👍
Thanks Trevor more videos to come. 👍🛠️
Mark food for thought, save your knees, carhart makes pants with kneepads in them it will really save your knees on that concrete and anywhere else you work. They are very good pants.
I might have to get a pair of those pants 👍🛠️
Enjoyed that Mark. As I was one of your first subscribers, i demand longer videos……..😂
I hope everyone shares your views Trevor 😂👍🛠️
Great video it helped me diagnose the exact same problem on a 3085
Glad it helped, propper frustrating fault with this 3065 as it could be ok for days and then fault 5 times in 5mins which is no good on a corn drill. 👍🛠️
More video!!!
Thanks for that video I own the cat 955l and am very pleased to see my friend Rob using it he traveled from dunoon scotland that day well done
An absolute pleasure to watch him drive it. lovely sounding engine when he put it under some load.
Definitely going there. Looks great. A few more repair videos would be good Mark. I was enjoying them mate.
you definitely should Trevor best day out I've had in ages, more repair videos coming too.
Very tidy top piece of work
Nice MF 590 let's see some work on her
Not sure when but I am planning that 👍🛠️
Be careful I had to replace the spring because it had weakened look ok but compared to the new it had shortened and not give enough pressure on the clutch 👍
I was thinking something along those line too before I got it apart 👍🛠️
Another good one mate.
Thanks Trevor 👍🛠️
You done it again.what a great video
Thanks 👍🛠️
Hej from Sweden great video. We hade the same problem on a New holland tl80 its fixt now 😊
Thanks Tobias , glad it’s fixed for you 👍🛠️
Great video mark, have a question relating to a similar problem, Neighbours landini vision 105 is stuck in 4wd, he claims it’s been like that ever since he jumps started jt this spring after it sat for a while , do you know how the 4wd works on this tractor. Light on dash registers switch being toggled but no noise of disengagement, how is the link between electric and hydraulic power made, is it just a solinoid
Thanks Patrick , sounds like it’s a power supply to the solenoid problem or the solenoid it’s self. Most are sprung on 4wd and oil pressure through a solenoid to disengage.
Why not try heat around the bolt before welding on the other bolt?
You’d be a braver man than me to to send oxy acetylene torch in that gap
@@MARKMECHANICAL map torch would get a good bit of heat on it
Coupling service ltd could have help you.
Thanks for the info are they in the uk ?
Yes
Thanks again for another fantastic video
Thanks Daniel 🛠️👍
The Zuidberg pronounce was alright, its from the Netherlands so for me its easy to pronounce 😂

Good job 👍 that was a dusty tractor you could see it in the torch light, and I was thinking he's breathing all that in, 👀👍
Thanks Martin 🛠️👍
Your videos are excellent Mark. The thing is , they are real world. Much better than all the set up crap I’ve seen. Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks Trevor really appreciate it 👍🛠️
Very good video, very knowledgable 👍
Brilliant videos 🙌, where did you get your box of wire connectors? Looks like something I need!
Cheers Jordan , I think a sparex sales rep came round to my old work and I bought it from him , it’s a good few years ago , and I’ve never seen them since .
Really enjoy your video grace and peace
Thanks Ron
Good job 👍👀
Cheers Martin 👍🛠️
Very interesting Video, I was an Agricultural Engineer back in the late 60s early 70s worked mostly on Nat's & Fergies and remember the first John Deere's coming in the Country( Lower Link Sensing) Ha! No Fancy Cabs with Heating, AC &stereo's Fitted hundreds of Roll Cages when Law changed Went to Langor, Nottingham for JDeere Service Courses and City Rd, London for International Could split a Massey 165 in the Farmyard and fit a new Clutch put back together in under an Hour! not bad going at Silage Time!! The Olden Days HA HA Best of Luck
Thanks baz , drivers don’t realise how far tractors have come and how comfy they are compared to the 165’s 👍🛠️
