Like the Kulwicki car the body is painted Krylon Fusion White and Tamyia Bright Red. Chassis is Krylon Pewter Grey. Monogram kit decals, straight forward out of the box build.

My 21st model is my first Busch Grand National car, this is Mark Martin's #60 Winn Dixie Ford Thunderbird from the 1994 season. The kit is a monogram Ford Thunderbird while the decal maker is unknown. Chassis and roll cage is painted Krylon Pewter Grey, the body is Testors Gloss Black with one coat of clear coat over top of the decals.

My 19th build is a bit of a rarer car... This is the #75 Carolina Pottery Ford T-Bird that was run during the first half of the 1993 season with Dick Trickle behind the wheel. Chassis is painted krylon pewter grey, while the body is krylon fusion white. This sponsor only lasted for the first 12 races of 1993 ending after the Dover June race. My 18th model is Ricky Rudd's #26 Quaker State Buick, specific from the 1988 season. Rudd drove this car for 2 years in 1988 and 1989 winning at Watkins Glen in 88 and the first ever Cup race at Sonoma in 1989. Body and chassis is testors green. Kit is a monogram buick with kit decals. Car has been done for a few weeks but again I've been too lazy to post it.

Bobby was the damn man! Earnhardt took him really high in the 4th turn and couldn't hold off Allison. We were at that race down past the start/finish line. Everyone went crazy, super win by Allison!
Miss him and i love the braves hat he is wearing. Damn how time goes by so fast The best I've ever seen in my lifetime and i saw my first Winston cup race in 1975

Ken Scharder had his best Daytona 500 finish in 1989. He won the pole for the Daytona 500 3 consecutive times (1988, 1989, 1990), led the most laps in the 1989 Daytona 500, and finished 2nd to Darrell Waltrip. Ken also got his first win the previous summer, at the 1988 Talladega 500, where he drove for Rick hendrick.

I have spent YEARS trying to find that Braves hat Dale was wearing.
I was at the race and standing at the fence you see around the 1:27 mark when the crash happened. It was the first NASCAR race I'd ever been to. I had like a rubber tire dust all over me after the crash. Rest of the race was pretty boring since most of the cars were knocked out on that 1st lap. One thing I remember was everyone booing when Dale Earnhardt Sr. name as announced at the beginning of the race. The NASCAR fan base was way different then and the crowds were much smaller than today.

Great race. One of my favorites. Ken Squier at his best. CBS always presented the 500 with class. Earnhardt definitely should have won that one with a 22 second lead but fate had other plans for the 1990 show. The cars sound wonderful. Nothing like high compression engines with an "H" pipe exhaust...

I built many Ford Thunderbirds which are in cases. Still to this day they all have a paint smell to them that never all went away.
