Not being from the PH, I can't appreciate them in the way that many of your other followers do, but I love this, nevertheless.❤🎼🎶 It's just fun to get insights into the times and the people there. Hi, Beata. You're back! Nice. I love this Petrified Anthem song. I was at that concert in Greenhills where they performed. I think Petrified Anthem fronted for Restie Pabunan. I'm just not sure if Restie was there with Maria Cafra. We watched from our car which was parked not too far from the stage and I guess you know what we were up to. As for those concerts at the J&T Bldg. parking lot, I was there once. They had a truck with a flatbed used as the stage. Pepe Smith and Gary Perez performed. Like that night in Greenhills, I was too stoned to remember the rest of the evening, hehe.

This song is so nostalgic for me. My best friend and neighbor in Malate had a cousin who was my childhood crush. We always saw each other as we were growing up. I also became jealous seeing him making porma to other girls. Hindi ako pinapansin until one day he talked to my mom asking permission to be his date at the graduation ball. Nagpakipot pa ako, sabi ko ayoko makita sa grad ball ng "anong school un -- Mapu-what?" He was a mechanical engineering student at Mapua. My dad was a fan of Mapua which for him produced the best engineers. But of course I was elated to attend the ball. The first song that we danced to was "Together". Kaya parang naging theme song ko ito sa kanya. The week after the ball, he invited me to do the rounds at the university belt and was so proud to be with a handsome date. But we became so busy with our studies and career that we just drifted apart. In 2000, I saw him accidentally when I visited my cousin in Georgia. He was now widowed with 2 grown up kids. We picked up where we left in the 70s. I overstayed at my cousin's house just to have more time with him. We wrote emails everyday, sent photos; he visited me once. It was this way for the next 3 years until he stopped. I waited for 1 week but no word from him. My cousin called me to let me know he passed away from a heart attack. Super ouch, heart wrenching. I haven't heard "Together" for a long time until now. Remembering him still hurts a bit pala, but happy memories take over. Kabayan naman...may pinalabas ka na namang lumang alaala ko from my treasure chest. Anyway, thanks a million for the memory and please please stay safe and healthy. ❤🙏
