Can a simple B-ASC profile device have Foreign Device support? It seems it has been made mandatory to have wither BBMD or both Normal and Foreign Mode support when it is revision 19 device. Which one is simple to implement? Which one is suitable?
Can this display be used with the front end web pages created in Total Control Design Studio?
Can implementors can have both the scheme FDR and BBMD on UI? One scheme can operate at a time Or is it optional user can keep only one option at a time
How do I get updated Firmware for my routers it is not listed on your website?
Golden! Thank you!
I have BAC 5901CE controller. I want to control 3-point flaoting actuator through PID output. Can you please suggest how can achieve the control of 3-point flaoting actuator. Thanks

community driven ? is it open source or proprietary?
Realize this is an old video but how well does your router work with other manufacturers controllers, like Distech and or WEBs? Can you still do VAV balancing if its not a KMC VAV controller? Thank you
Definitely looking at one of these to replace my BASRTP from contemporary controls.
If I already have a BMS can I use this controller with it?
That depends on a number of factors, but the answer is likely yes. I would recommend reaching out to your nearest authorized KMC Controls representative. They will be able to evaluate your current system and can let you know for sure.
Question... How well, in your experience, do BACnet to Modbus RTU converters typically work alright? The one I'm looming at is BTL (thanks for that bit there) so any insights would be great. Just want to request info from devices without BACnet native to them.
Great video - straight forward and simple. Well played
Thanks for the information on the BBMD and the Foreign Device. I would like to ask you one question if there are two BBMDs in different networks but not in different subnets, then how they communicate? If we would like to use a Foreign Device to connect to a BBMD that is on an another subnet or network and need a permanent connection, will it be good option/configuration? I would like to set the TTL to 0 for the Foreign Device to require no periodic re-registration to the BBMD. Please respond and this information is very important for us to make proper decision in setting up our BACnet Networks. -Thanks
Whenever I get a question about BBMD, I go to this document (www.kmccontrols.com/wp-content/uploads/kmc_documents/Application_Guide_200731A1_BBMD_RevA.pdf). Not only does it explain the differences, but gives examples. “Different network” and “different subnet” are synonymous, you cannot place two BBMDs on the same subnet (network segment). Setting the TTL to 0 would indicate you never want the foreign device to register with the BBMD; not an option. The BAC-5051E router requires at least 10 seconds between registrations.
thanks for letting me know about it😊
Hey Benjamin button! I cant tell if he’s 15, or 51…
Good product and U.S. built to boot. Keep it up. We have tons of this equipment on our campus here in Denver and I've been through some training on their equipment at our local vendor.
For example if a chiller (HVAC) Trane supports Bacnet protocol. This chiller is connected to BMS of the plant (single port is available, which is occupied by BMS). If I need the chiller to be connected to another gateway which can send data to our cloud. Is there any possible way that BMS as well as gateway can be connected to the chiller simulatenously. For example let say as Bacnet splitter kind off.. please express ur suggestions here. Thanks in advance.
Is this possible??
I'm also checking the same kind of option..
@@gibingeorge4994 for modbus it's possible, but for bacNet it's still on quest
"Spirit of innovation".... enough said! KMC really makes a top shelf product, here in the USA!!
Teamwork makes the Dream Work!
"Our really people care about what they are building" Great quote from great people! So glad to see things still Made In The USA!!
What is the maximum distance u can run bacnet over ip
good
good
Some visuals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Concise and helpful - just the way I like it!
What's DBGO-B1
Are the AHU and VAVs working together in conjunction based on the BAS sequencing?
Are the AHU and VAVs working together in conjunction based on the BAS sequencing?
The AHU will supply Fixed Temp. which can be varied from the BAS/BMS or the local control panel of that AHU. As for the VAV Box Controller , it will be connected to a thermostat which is located at the room or the space that will be served by the mentioned VAV Box, the thermostat will sense the Temp and send a signal to the dumper which will open the dumper more or less depending on the Temp and some VAV Boxes are equipped with Reheaters which will be used in case the air temp is kinda low
We can not solve the problem by understanding it, but understanding it will help us better solve it. “You can never learn less; you can only learn more.......” - R. Buckminster Fuller Thank you for sharing your expertise!

Hola, ¿Cúal Advanced Power Meter debo comprar para usar con bobibas rogowski? E50H2 o E50H2A. Gracias.
KMC offers Veris E23 and E50 meters as well as Dent PowerScout meters, all options support the Rogowski coils CTs. To review your specific application, please contact customer support at info@kmccontrols.com
Denise you are full of sheet :D
Best explanation on this topic!
Is that link ever coming?
Very informative. Please make more such videos.
I’m a 32 year experienced air balancer.this is an improvement over the old setup requiring a volt meter. Still not my favorite controls my favorite but not bad.
What would be the best controllers for light commercial buildings?
Great video, you can download complete BACnet Stack Library brochure here: ip.softdel.com/softbac-brochure/
What's the difference between "public" and "private" community strings?
A Community String is like a user id or password sent in an SNMP request that allows (or denies) access to a router's or other device's statistics. Most network vendors ship their equipment with a default password of "public" hence the term public string. Private strings use a custom value instead of a public known value and are inherently more secure!
How do you setup old kmd 5500 series controller with translator with kmc commander as front end?
Trixer, great question. You would need to add the translator to your network on Commander. Then you will be able to discover the KMD devices and add them as Bacnet devices to your Commander's network. Be sure to order the "CMDR-KMD-TRANS-DR" with "KMD-5551E". for more information please goto www.kmccontrols.com/product/KMD-5551E/
Great Presentation!
Thank you! To learn more about what we are up to with our IoT platform KMC Commander, please check out www.kmccommander.com.
Look like similar with comfort point controller honeywell. I have question, where do you program the setpoint and sensor for PID? I am zero experience with KMC. My new work deal with A lot of KMC. Im just playing ahead of time. Thanks
Can you make a video on how you would use this on a supervisor? On a supervisor we typically will only have a NiagaraNetwork so how will the graphics build out?
4.9 has SSO that's how this would work. A few years later LOL
If there are multiple schedules will it build out a menu for them automatically? What about the AHU?
