Hello! Unfortunately, I myself am not familiar with Thai Muslim way of life nor familiar with Thai Muslims’ food consumption ways. As per my understanding, Islam forbids the consumption of pork as well as the consumption of poultry, meat not slaughtered as per Islamic way and every produce related to it (Non -Kousher).For example, Chicken Stock from chicken non-slaughtered as per Islamic way is forbidden. Therefore, Muslims prefer permitted (Halal food) and Muslim restaurants in non-Muslim majority countries label halal food for assurance. Hopefully, a Thai Muslim person elaborates.

@@MWallahStory ​​⁠ Hi! I’m Thai muslim born in Mukdahan, Thailand though raised in Australia and go back home in Mukdahan to visit family often. The whole concept of halal food is not changing anybody’s culture food nor turning it into “muslim food”. The definition of Halal in the context of food means what is permissible for Muslims to eat according to our Quran. This means avoiding things commonly such as pork and alcohol is prohibited for us accordingly to our religion. Due to its harmful effects on our bodies and simply because god told us not to. The good news is most foods are halal and we are able to consume meat/chicken but it must follow the Islamic Shariah Law which is the slaughter must be conducted by a muslim person and must be blessed upon allah (god) name. Hence, why halal food is searched within Thai cuisines in order to follow our dietary guidelines avoiding foods with pork and alcohol, or replacing them with seafood (halal) or vegetarian Thai dishes instead. Therefore, for the top comment we are not taking something from other religions and turning it into islam. This is very wrong we are a religion of peace and respect for others, we just follow our beliefs and are firm. I’ve tried my best to clarify for everyone hopefully this helps!!

Hello! Please watch the video again carefully from the beginning, where it is showing the inside of the truck’s trunk in which the food is safely placed in containers like steel cooking pots or plastics boxes for transport and not directed on the floor of the trunk. Overall the food is safe for consumption and would be contaminated while transporting as much as it would be contaminated while serving in open air with insects all over and close to human contact proximity. After all it’s street food so trust your immune system and enjoy the convenience, deliciousness and affordability of it.
