Hawthorne Village: Halloween Town Express Issue 1
This is issue one from the Bradford Exchanges Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween Town Express collection for the 30th anniversary for the film. I've been wanting a Halloween train for awhile and considering how hard and expensive the older one is I decided to give this one a shot.

If anyone wants to see the history of the Milwaukee roads twin cities Hiawatha trains, time stamp here: 2:14
Thanks I haven't figured out how to add it in video yet but I did make chapters
Nice
I replaced both AB units speakers with scale sound systems speakers night and day difference and they are easy to install drop in with minor soldering on the pos/neg terminal on both speakers 😊
Hey I just checked them out and might get one in the future.
This was worth the wait 😊
Glad it was worth it
Do you take requests?
Not per say but I'm open to ideas

yes there are and I have one close to completion. The problem was life got really hectic this past month but things are slowly getting back to normal. @@mumumaaaah
Walt Disney had one heck of an imagination also enjoyed going to Disneyland when I was a kid my favorite ride was the Lilly belle trains
Very nice. I remember hearing somewhere that in addition to having a passion for trains (and they feature prominently in some of his earlier works), Disney did not want to be called the "Company CEO", "Chairman/Head of the Disney Organization", or other grandiose titles while walking around the park. Instead, he preferred to be known as the "Chief Locomotive Engineer" and would sometimes run the trains himself.
I knew he would run the trains but never knew he would refer to himself as that. That's hilarious.
i've been trying to get this set forever i love it.
Wonderful video! Excellent work!
Good, thorough review! I probably would've been a little harsher, about some of the poorly applied details for instance, but maybe I'm too picky! Overall nice looking model- a good addition to Bachmann's 4-4-0 variations. Anyhow, I liked your review and look forward to the next one!
The gold parts on the valve chest aren't flag holders, they're gravity-feed lubricators, a lot of the older locos had them. Little crudely rendered on this model, but a nice touch.
Hey thanks for the info. I try to get as accurate as possible and knew those weren’t flag holders, but I couldn’t figure out what they were.
No prob, happy to share what I know.
Quite correct about the lubricators, but I think there is a mix-up here- there ARE flagholders, but they are on the pilot beam where they should be. Bachmann got it wrong- not the first time I've seen loco parts misidentified by manufacturers. Hope I'm not being too pedantic!
Excellent video showing/describing both liveries. I have a complete set of Walther’s MILW twin cities in their modified harvest orange and maroon. I have a trio set of FP7A-F7B-FP7A in orange/maroon with the side logo, and 5-chime horn (second run of the FP7A’s from Walthers). Also noted, the passenger car lighting kits from Walthers are a little too bright and “blueish”. None the less, you did a great job explaining these wonderful trains.
Thank you I really try to cover as much as I can
Rip to you bank acount
This is the most relatable thing ever
Yup
Didn't even know this car existed till I saw a listing on eBay
Shame about the out-of-focus images . . .
Hi hopefully you can help me I’ve just purchased this flying Scotsman I’m new too dcc what controller are you using? Any info would be great thank you Richard
I am using The NCE Power Cab controller
The locomotive looks great and interesting to see 1/76 scale compared to the 1/87 scale. The tender has one blinding error and that is the profile of th d back, the curvedxtop is way to pronounced and Trix got it wrong. Anyway it is what it is.
Real A3 trailing truck does swivel
I guess I forgot to mention while yes the wheels itself pivot the frame of the tuck does not on the real thing
Interesting. They seem to use Walthers Power Loc track now.
Yeah I have some of that track and would not recommend it
Wow,game over for Tesla!
as one of you're first subscribers im looking forward to seeing the channel grow
Thank you it means a lot. I look forward to making more videos for people to watch.

Question, what pilot/cowcatcher did you use? Thinking about making one of these myself.
It was a Cal Scale Brass #318 Pilot Here's a listing currently on ebay www.ebay.com/itm/225274573759?hash=item34736933bf:g:hxEAAOSwo75jhq8B&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwAosC7TOsPG93awDWxmZ10ALHhjbIYTxDS84OI%2FG5uRl3D3LGdg5Ens6u5j5v%2FQwc1VomHWgr6Nh4K%2FPnKvV89oeSp5BA4ePbluxgGqL1v%2FCjrkJn2KaGRLlx5BzLUJNB1C0PpsD6jIAFJ0O99TAJCrvxjHWUHCh2H6K1wKmdBLCIHhhcxe32hNhSkXM%2BrrD6LPI7kofxtCcUqOEWbyo3OGn1T4HvyjQXqT4OtK0JO6g2LcTDLbGTh0OFWBvuWxePQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR87euIqMYw

@REG17-3 Another question, what steam/sand domes did you use?
the steam dome is a Precision Scale Dome 31237 www.ebay.com/itm/383945569862?hash=item5964f07646:g:UMUAAOSwx1FgIg4d&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4BpiJ%2BdfNOonmIQ53GtqNXtJcPxkuMRmVZ27L9BYSML3wog6frpfbqC9tG55835y0lul4PPsT0PLomusWMO3Xq8DKV77%2FsnwuBLl5m5C3pW8VmPCewormPF4xin7nuYsY9tipdsK4PhADb2zx2NiHoQwKeocfTg%2F%2FzEn0nC8SP4Gl6MZW7FYeEg3bfN5bfSoMReO0YBo8uuDokGWEz4niUADaFv2ZRuA73omroUmXb36ZlLBmWdkPc%2BHz1LI2pqWO7T9fXitkwySCXfL7LpTsDJCnGoDlf1iI5P6EFmh20y0%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR97XoqqNYw as for the sand dome it was from a dome lot and I just attached the handrails from sand dome of the decapod@@tm_14_44
If you sign up for Broadway Limited's email list they give you a release date of all their upcoming products. No Niagaras in the distant future. Therefore, the best Niagara's you can get on the market are BLI's Paragon 2 or 3's in my opinion.
I have one of these as well. Sadly when I first bought it, the decoder decided to die. You see, I bought it second hand at the local model railroad club I am part of and during its first run on the club layout, it ran for a lap and a half just fine until it suffered a short circuit and caused the decoder to short out. It took off like a jackrabbit until I was able to catch it. I attempted to reset the decoder, but all the engine did was sit in place while the sound functions still worked. I just bought a new decoder the other day and wait for it to arrive. My Niagara is numbered 6004. Also with your locomotive's box saying product number 5833, mine is 5831 lol.
I'm a new subscriber and I appreciate the reviews you've done so far. Keep it up 😊

Gorgeous train
The FP7s had larger steam boilers for train heat and the diner's kitchen, but had nothing to do with A/C in the cars. The Chicago and Northwestern handled most of UP's transcon fleet east of Omaha into Chicago, but wasn't paying its fair share, so UP switched to the MILW in 1955. MILW had to supply a portion of the train cars and in the process, purchased a fleet of dynamic brake-equipped E9s which ran all the way to the west coast. To match the UP fleet, MILW repainted its cars in UP's "Harbor Mist Gray" and "Armour Yellow."
thanks for the correction on the boilers its sometimes hard to get pinpoint detail. As for the switch I didn't want to make the history section to long and cut that out but thanks for adding that.
Thanks for sharing those are some nice looking sets and I didn’t know they made a Pokémon monopoly what year is that board game
