Your candles are great love having them in the house!! Love the variety of bee related things you have to offer!!

Knowing you are in the deep south with very high temperatures and humidity. What's your personal recommendation when it's too hot to use Apriguard even at a 25 g dose
When it's too hot to use Apiguard, even at a 25g dose, try these tips: use screened bottom boards for better ventilation, apply early in the morning or late evening when it's cooler, consider alternative treatments like oxalic acid vaporization, provide shade to the hives, and keep an eye on mite levels. You can also read more about it here. www.vita-europe.com/beehealth/wp-content/uploads/Apiguard.pdf Check out #12 and #16 for info on using Apiguard above 77°F and its effectiveness up to 104°F.
Good job that's why you guys are my go to store. I drive 100 miles to get there, well worth it.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Safe travels, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Thanks for explaining everything. I'm new, and this really helped.
Glad it was helpful!
Just installed mine today works perfectly with entrance reducer thanks guys!!
Our pleasure!
This is actually quite bad, its the food for their babies nor us
Thank you for your concern. After harvesting pollen, there is still more than enough pollen available for the bees to use for their own colony. We always ensure that the bees' needs are met first, and sustainable beekeeping practices are in place to support the health and well-being of the colony.
That little technique works great!
Congratulations Double M Bees! 🎉🥳
Very interesting process, however some content feedback is the timelapse is visually very hard to watch due to the jumpy frames. As a suggestion, I'd say you'd have more luck using a timelapse setting that basically takes a video and drops every X frame, or just take a video and fastforward for a better video aesthetic. Thanks for sharing! I want to have bees someday soon :)
Absolutely. We have a few versions of this process that we will publish. Thanks for commenting, we appreciate it.
Do you sell your wax ? If so how much do you sell it for .
They have a 45lbs block listed for 326.25 on their site.
Yea, we have a lot of wax options. www.foxhoundbeecompany.com/collections/pure-beeswax
Thanks. We have a couple other options too.
When I opened up my NUCs about 2 weeks ago, the bees were all over the top and inside and flying all around me. Tons more than you show.
Hey Kim - The amount of bees and brood inside a nuc will vary and will change based on the situation of the nuc. In only a week, a nucleus hive can go from a very small population of adult bees to overflowing with adult bees.
Foxhound Bee Company, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!

For entrance feeder those look very good!
Thank you @donbearden1953
How do I ensure the queen doesn't fly away? I'll see you Saturday!!!!
To ensure the queen doesn't fly away, inspect the hive during calm weather, use a queen excluder at the entrance, handle frames gently, and consider marking the queen. A calm hive reduces the chances of her flying away.
Ha you did a good job with this, they need cleaned wish you would had showed that as well. have a blessed week
So true. That is important for maintenence. Some OA is worse than others.

Remember fellas, good wood contact is key.
Absolutely, good wood contact is crucial for the assembly jig to work effectively. Ensuring a snug fit helps create sturdy frames for your bee hives. We're glad you picked up on this important detail in the video!
This is a great video - thank you! If I have a hive from a previous colony that didn’t survive the winter, do I need to do anything differently to install a new nuc? Do I still need to provide 1:1 sugar water or is the honey in the hive enough (1 medium box about 60% honey)?
Thank you! For a hive from a previous colony, clean and inspect it before installing a new nuc. The honey in the hive can be a food source, but since it's only about 60% honey, you may still want to provide 1:1 sugar water, especially initially, to ensure the bees have enough food. Monitor the hive closely to adjust feeding as needed.
I really enjoyed the breathing at the end
Love your work Adam! Thanks for creating this easy-to-follow guide :) - Zavier
😀 Thanks!
Watched a bunch of NUC installation videos tonight and this one was the best I found - thanks!
Thanks! 😀
Not at all clear what the hell you’re doing.
Took me a minute to understand. They are building frames for beehives. It's what the bees build the honeycomb on.
Yes, you are right! 😀
Yes, that's right! 👍
Wow!!!! So cool!!!
Thanks Andrew! 🤗
I’ve been on CZcams since 2006. This is the first video I’ve seen in which someone showed how to make large quantities on a build.

Mann lake hive kits?
Foxhound Bee Company Kits 😊
Do you have the plans for that jig that you can share and the other product you put into the frame
Yes, please feel free to check out our collection page - www.foxhoundbeecompany.com/search?type=product%2Cpage&options%5Bprefix%5D=last&q=frame+assembly
That's one hell of a jig.. though only having a few hives.. I'm thinking this would be a bit of overkill.😅 Of course, having a few dozen or hundreds.... this makes sense
It would bee.
Correct!
I’ve made a 10 frame jig. I do a few boxes of frames a year and it’s worth it.
That's great! 😀
New sub
Welcome aboard! 🤗
It's in the name of the company. Good and practical framing jig for the bee hives. What are you snapping into them though?
He's 'snapping' (installing) the foundation. The foundation is what the honey bees build the comb on.
You're correct! Our framing jig is designed to make framing bee hives easier and more efficient. We're glad you find it practical. Typically, beekeepers snap wooden frames into the jig to assemble them with precision. This ensures that the frames are properly aligned and ready for use in the hive. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
Explaining what the frames are for and why I would want to make a jig in order to produce them, would go a long way.
The frames are for bee hives. The jig makes it easier to create multiple frames in less time.
What are those frames used for?
Bee hives
They're for bee hives.
The sirens at 1:10 really bring that Birmingham feeling to the viewer... LOL
Haha, you're right! 🚨 Those sirens do add a touch of 'Birmingham ambiance' to the video. Thanks for watching and picking up on that detail!
Thank you for putting up such a clear and easy to follow instruction for a first time beginner bed keeper! Great video!
You're very welcome!
Picking up in car? Grab a small knit laundry bag for less than $3 to bag you nuc. Your welcome.
Stop using "rule of thumb" saying please.
Where does the saying come from?
@Foxhoundbeeco I think there is an historic connection to using a stick to beat slaves...
Why
I’m getting local nucs this summer 2 slides of bees 2 slides of food do they produce any honey the first year? Or u just leave it for them for food
If there are enough bees in the hive, & you have good nectar flow (lots of food flowers blooming) within 5 miles of the hive, they can make honey for both the bees & you, though that's more likely in year 2. I keep 2 brood boxes (just for bees & their food), then add supers when they're ready. Kept 1 super of honey for bees over winter. Anything past that you can harvest.
It's advisable to leave the honey produced by the bees in their first year for their food supply. This helps them establish a strong colony. However, some hives may produce surplus honey that you can harvest. It's best to consult with local beekeepers or a beekeeping association for advice specific to your area. We're here to support you on your beekeeping journey!
The simplicity of using the tension of the strap to hold it locked makes me think this has applications beyond bee hives. Looks lighter than a ratchet strap and not as likely to pinch a finger.
Sometimes simple is the best.
out of curiosity, why not just use a ratchet strap?
Just another option for strapping. It's popular outside of the US, but in the US ratchet straps are king.
i would assume if youre working with many bee hives, this would be several times faster to ajust than a ratchet strap
maybe because it's not subject to vibrations, hence you can use a simpler design.
👍😀🍯
Why would u steal their hard work and let human beings eat their food
I'm sorry if you feel that way. Our goal is to provide beekeepers with the best products and support for their beekeeping journey. We value the hard work of bees and beekeepers alike and strive to promote sustainable beekeeping practices. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please feel free to share them with us.
Why would they use the home he built for them?
