My C6 Corvette is Cool Again: Replacing a Radiator on a C6 Corvette-The Hard Way.
In this video, I finally get my C6 Corvette back on the road. It has been well over a month. I can't believe all of the headaches that this car has given me over the last several weeks.
It all started with changing out the problematic mag ride shocks only to discover that I had a cracked radiator. Of course, the radiator couldn't be found, especially since the dealership reluctantly gave me the WRONG part number.
Once all of that was sorted out, I had to actually remove and replace the thing. Easier said than done. I couldn't believe all of the trouble I was having. It wasn't until I was editing this video that I discovered the culprit. I noticed the condenser is bowed and that makes all of the sense in the world.
To top it off, the test drive didn't go smoothly. Fortunately, it had nothing to do with the radiator. My right rear tire had a nail in it and was flat. I narrowly missed having to buy another tire.
Thankfully, it looks like she is finally done giving me fits.
Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video. If so, make sure to hit the like button and please consider subscribing to the channel.
As always, God bless and hope to see you again soon.

My C10 Gets a Set of Halibrand Sprint Wheels!!!
zhlédnutí 779Před 6 měsíci
In this video, I finally get to install my new set of 19" Halibrand Sprint wheels on my squarebody C10. I fitted Atlas Force UHP 245/50R19s up front and 285/45R19s out back. I love the way the tires fit the wheels. Together, the wheels and tires cost me about a thousand dollars after mounting and balancing. My old tires cost more than that by themselves. I do have one small issue with the rear ...
Installing Bilstein Shocks on My C6 Corvette: Shocking Results

In this video, I replace the worn out mag ride shocks on my C6 Corvette with Bilstein B6 shocks. I chose to go with simulators as opposed to programming the real time dampening out of the vehicle's tune. Unfortunately, I discovered that my radiator is cracked and in need of replacement. I ordered a new one only to have the order cancelled by the seller without notice. Now, the car is on the sid...
C3 LS Swap Pt. 23: Cooling System Issues Solved
zhlédnutí 396Před 7 měsíci
In this video, I fix all of the issues with my LS swapped C3's cooling system. The thermostat now opens, the thermostat housing no longer leaks, and the steam port hold down bolt hole is no longer stripped out. These all may seem like small issues but each one can ruin your day at best, your engine at worst. Hopefully, this helps someone else who is attempting to do one of these swaps. I have y...

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I don't know of a manual way of rolling up the window. At the same time, my guess is that the switch got wet. You can pop it out and dry it out with a blow dryer. If that doesn't work, check and make sure a fuse didn't blow.

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I had a really difficult time also. After I got everything together, I realized my condenser was bowed and that was causing the issue. If that is causing your problem also, you can attempt to straighten the condenser but I would be very careful. Once again, sorry for the late reply. I hope you already got it together and everything is working fine.

I USED ROCKET RACING P/N C7804-SET. I ORDERED THEM FROM SUMMIT. THE BACKS WERE PERFECT BUT THE FRONTS WERE ALMOST TOO LONG. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY HOLLEY DIDN'T MAKE THE FLANGE THICKNESS ON THE WHEELS THE SAME THICKNESS AFTER THEY WERE COUNTERSUNK. HOPE THE LUG NUTS WORK FOR YOU.

This is probably the most shade tree part of my build. I had a spare C3 transmission crossmember brace that I bolted to the two existing bolt holes in the lower center of the rear bumper support. I then mounted the filter to the top of that. It was the best solution I could find at the time but will likely be changed in the future.

Yes they worked and yes I have the brake drums. I bought a set of extended lug nuts from Summit. The P/N is C7804-SET. I used them front and rear. They were almost too long on the front. As far as the idle, if you haven’t figured it out yet. I had a similar throttle body on one of my swaps that almost immediately started doing something similar and it turned out to be sticking but only under vacuum. This made it tough to troubleshoot, but replacing the throttle body fixed it. Been running that car for a couple years since with no issue.

I almost made a mistake going by what others have done choosing the tires. As the stock tires are ~27" in diameter and if you choose 17" or 18" rims but go with a specific aspect ratio (45,40) you will end up with about 27" or slightly smaller, this does not really lower the car, this only allows you to suck the tire up further towards the fender, (maybe) which will slightly lower the car. If on the other hand you go with 35 and 30 series the tire is now smaller in diameter which lowers the car frame without adjusting the suspension. By sucking the tire up (suspension) you further lower the frame. The compromise is the tire may appear to be too small for the fender opening, which I plan to fix simply by making the fender opening fit the new tire size.

Sorry for the late reply and sorry you are having all of the issues you are having. I completely understand all of your frustrations. I agree that more thought could have gone into this setup. At the end of the day, I wasn't 100% satisfied with the end result but I will be happy as long as it works. I hope to know within the next few weeks.

I also purchased this tank for my 1971 corvette and see the engineers must have been smoking pot the day someone thought about the hole pattern in the tank specifically the fuel pump hole & the sending unit hole, filler hole didn't have any issues, a couple issues that could have been easily rectified by more thought. 1) Yes the holes in the sending unit are not spaced the same ( read the directions Mayer Motorsports) Daniel Kohler is 100% correct. Are you (Mayer Motorsports) a shop doing work for customers ???? 2)The fuel tank holes are basically drilled in the best position, I called Tanks Inc. & discussed this issue, they gave me suggestions that they seemed to think was a good solution, EXCEPT when you rotated the fuel pump too clear one area something else had clearance issues, I tried rotating to all 6 possible positions and everyone had some type of clearance problems. After attaching the provided 1/4NPT I tried using 45 degree fittings -6AN, I tried 90 degree -6AN both not to my satisfaction 3) the fuel pump itself could have been made with slightly taller fittings so the vent & supply ports could have been moved over two of the mounting holes and used a shorter screw /bolt to secure it to the tank. this is one solution 4) I looked at the tank for an hour trying to decide the best solution for my particular requirements. After spending additional time on the phone with Josh at Tanks Inc. and not really getting a solution I am left wondering about the customer service. I ordered the 9" tube style sending unit, opened the box to find a 6" was sent, This statement is directed at Tanks Inc. if you are sending out a Corvette tank that you should clearly know takes a 9" sending unit then the person that is packaging up the items should have took the time and walked up to the office and doubled checked with the lady that took my order & confirmed that she made a mistake by typing a 6 instead of a 9 on the order = bad, bad, bad for not double checking up front & in the shipping department. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER I was required to purchase the replacement 9" sending unit because I was told others that have the same issue didn't return the incorrect = bad, bad, bad I did receive my refund for the incorrect 6" in a timely manner, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. Called again & spoke to Josh on 07/06/2023 & ordered an additional $85.00 dollars worth of -AN fittings so I am on hold before I reveal my solution for a poorly engineered design, he said that he didn't understand why I was having so much difficulty in this, Josh said they just make the fuel sending unit exit with the ports towards the back of the car = easy enough if you want to do a sloppy ass job & have fittings that rub on the tank, fittings that point right & will interfere with the bracket that bridges the sending unit. all in all it seems to be a good thought but wasn't fully carried out to make it as easy as possible for the guy's doing this conversion. Hopefully this post will find others to help them with their project.

I think you’ve just provided a cost analysis/ business case to buy a brand new work bench for the garage.

The garage is too small so I ended up doing a business case for a new shop to fit the new work bench/drill press/car lift/paint boot/etc. Long story short, accounting shot down my business case along with my hopes and dreams.

What are you running for front accessory mounting? Is it all stock F body or 3rd party?

I am running stock f body accessories. Eventually, I plan to install vintage air A/C so I will need an aftermarket bracket for the compressor.
