is there a reason the slant is a 9* instead of a 10? does it work better down a bit?

I got one of those ..7 but it does not pop on the altissimo ..any chance you can open it to 7* ? And check for any imperfection?

What is the depth of this mouthpiece?

You state that the baffle requires to be very carefully shaped but do not specify exactly what the requirement is and what special tools are required to work this part of the mouthpiece.There are mouthpieces which have baffles flat in both directions , that is along the length and across the section and are as yet perfectly satisfactory. A prime example of this type mouthpiece would be the Rascher. The older models had a baggle that was concave along its length and also concave across its width. The newer models are concave only along the length but flat across the width. I would greatly appreciate your comments on this subject and thank you.

They all sound great, but my favorite by a whisker is the Vibra Master-a later Florida Slant I think-I enjoy that balance of projection and tone.

A very good review, I like Mr Cisi on the Vibra Master 10, a gorgeous big tone with some crispness, the Slant 9** was very beautiful. For my horn I might go for a Vibra MasterX...
