Just curious but if your booking up an aftermarket radio why not just use the mic that came with the aftermarket radio? 99 percent of the aftermarket radios come with Bluetooth these days . Again I’m just curious because I just bought a crz an it had a crappy Amazon radio in it , none of the steering wheel audio controls worked . So I installed a better radio and got the SWC module . I didn’t even know this car had phone link until I see your video lol. But now I want phone link to work just because, but what’s the real need for it in your case ??

I know this was a long time ago but, any chance you could provide me with some rough details? I know about the contactor and shunt upgrade. Is this just enabled via the firmware config stored in the emmc on the gateway? I know the drive train has it's own CAN bus and the MCU relays the hardware values to the inverter, surely there's a way to do it without just injecting into the CAN bus. I'm an electrical and software engineer and could likely figure it out on my own given enough time, but if someone already did it... I have a heavily modded P85D, and about the only thing I don't have is Ludicrous. Not willing to give my car up and just replace it. It's too unique for what it is.

Is it possible to use this motor instead of the small front motor since this one is smaller and lighter than the latter. I think steering might be a problem if this motor is used. I am asking this question in a conversion point of view.

How did you get the mcu upgraded? Did you install mcu2 and transfer the files from mcu1 yourself or did you pay for the mcu2 upgrade to get fsd?

I've seen 125 HP motors which run on 440VAC and require chain hoist to move, which weigh in at around a thousand pounds. I get that this motor is a variable field DC to AC motor and high voltage but just don't completely buy the horsepower rating which the manufacturer claims. Reason being if the motor produced 200 HP that would be equivalent to 200 x 750W/HP or 150,000 W motor ? So lets back up and try to deduce how this claimed HP is produced. Gearing and RPM must play a critical role in calculating shaft HP.

How do you charge the volt batteries? I have a 2017 volt and I want to at least upgrade the onboard battery charger to a 7.2kw unit from a 2019 volt, from the stock 3.6kw one. But I was also thinking of using a tesla on board charger, so very curious how you do it.
