Good Day. This is the second time that I have watched this on youtube. I don't remember if I saw it in 1983. I've always watched these kind of movies, documentaries, etc. I was born in 1952, so I grew up through most of the Cold War. Loved the Explosion Video. Very realistic, as is the whole movie. I did visit the "Trinity Site" on it's 50th Anniversary. Thank You & Best Regards.

Somehow, I missed this program. As a high-schooler, I watched both parts of "V" when it originally aired, but didn't even know that this existed until last week. This was VERY well done and is a dead-accurate representation of news gathering and reporting in the early 1980s. The raw emotions from the anchors played by Ed Flanders & Kathryn Walker toward the end were just gut-wrenching. 2 things to note: - Charleston was significantly damaged by Category 4 Hurricane Hugo in 1989 - Reporting on 9/11 was just as visceral, but in real life

If they were that close to the blast zone that camera would have been immediately fried due to the EMP and gotten little to no footage. Also they said the blast yield would be the equivalent to the Hiroshima bomb but it actually would be two kilotons more than the bomb dropped on Nagasaki, that being 23kt

I truly adore the Alien film. The first one looks so authentic. It feels like you are trapped inside a documentary. I spent the last 10 years working in offshore oil rigs and production platforms as a paramedic. The industrial look and feel, the chatter between crew members, so matter of fact. I put Alien on at bedtime and drift off to sleep at the slow intro and ethereal musical score. I live in Thailand and as I drift off there is sometimes a Thai lady laying next to me playing on her phone, not really paying attention to the 75 inch flat screen... Until the chest burster scene... LOL!!!

2024: Alien has now been rereleased into theatres for it's forty fifth anniversary. Unbelievable.

Real pity that the efforts of many innovative people was let down by poor management of waste.

I watched this on UK TV in 1987, at about 1am during a huge storm. I knew it was a film but not what would happen in it. A well made and sobering piece of television.

The NEST team would certainly send the boat out to the middle of the ocean as they began disarming to reduce risk to the city. A glaring weak spot in an otherwise very compelling story.

At least the TV crew and the NEST team had painless deaths.

I’m FROM Charleston and was 12 years old at the time this aired. I had no idea this was just a movie, so I was genuinely terrified when the thing starts out with “reporter in Charleston…” I’m pretty sure my family gave me a Valium to calm the hell down, because I would not calm down.

Oh my here is the hunk *Michael Madsen **59:00* in one of his earliest roles hahahh so adorable. And also, *Lane Smith* who would later star in "Lois & Clark" as Perry White. Great surprises. I really didn't expect to see any familiar faces on this. Thank you so much for uploading it!
