Welcome to Black Sheep Overland Adventures! We are a group with a passion for outdoor, off-road and overland adventures. We are dedicated to getting outside and sharing our adventures with others. In doing so, we hope to provide our viewers with videos that include fellowship, camping, off-roading, overlanding, off-road hints, how-to’s, ideas and recoveries. We want to provide a means of outdoor education including safety tips, how to tread lightly, awareness of nature and our surroundings when outdoors. We also own and operate a business providing accessorizing and modifications, parts and labor for all your off-road needs and wants.

Overland Weekend Cove Lake area Part 2
zhlédnutí 224Před rokem
We finally arrive at a primitive camp area a little later than we’d planned but it really was perfect. We had brought a very limited amount of firewood, but the winter storms had laid trees down right there in camp so we had a nice fire all night long. The diesel heater kept us abundantly warm all night even though temperatures dropped below 40deg f. The meals, including breakfast, were great! ...

This trip provided us an opportunity to use the new craftsman cordless chainsaw. It’s got a 16 inch bar and is 40volts. It did really good. We actually ended up cutting several decent sized trees that the winter storms had put in the road. The battery strength remained strong throughout the weekend. In this video we are making our way to our campsite where we had a great supper and we challenge...

For this trip, we decided to take a hike to see the Arkansas Sphinx, and what a hike it was! about a half mile distance with a rise in elevation of around 350 feet. The view was beautiful! and well worth the effort. From the Sphinx we traveled farther north west to take a more moderate hike to Hawksbill Crag during wintery weather. We had a wonderful day and hope you enjoy the video! Gpx file f...

@@BlackSheepOverlandAdventures Thanks!!!
@@rc4383 my pleasure 😊
Having the young ones along adds a lot and is part of why we wander. You will never ever regret making these videos.
The young ones make the memories that much more meaningful.
Wow! We are really ready for an Ozark National Forest ride! Especially after a decent rain shower.
Over Memorial Day we’re in and around Jasper. Very dry, smaller steams were either low or not flowing at all. One Jeep on 40s was even able to cross the Buffalo River near The Narrows.
Glad to see you back on the channel!!!
Thanks! We are already set to upload our next video. We actually have two in the bag now. As long as I can keep my videographer and film editor happy! 😃
Good thinking! Gotta keep the production crew happy because if mama's not happy NOBODY'S happy,,

Thanks! Feels good to be back 😊
Cute little guy. Sounds like he likes to splash in the water. It's a lot of fun taking the young ones out.
He loves “Big Water”! And he’s crazy about Jeeps.
I just found your channel because you helped out Ozark Overland Adventures with the belt. It is always good to help out anyone on the side of the road even if it means going out of your way to do it. I have a cheaper way to air down and it seems about as fast as yours but I am only running 33's. So if it takes a little longer, like you said it is not a race. We are out to have fun. However, you mentioned airing up with the same set up. When I have a little more time I will see if you have a video of that. My airing up is a lot slower. One tire at a time. But again, it is not a race. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your content.
Thank you very much for subscribing!! We have a good video or two on our budget all four at once air system. We are about to relaunch our channel. New video going public today with an explanation as to why we took an eighteen month break! Thanks again! We love helping people!!!

Thanks!
I am here because you rescued a friend in Ozarks! Well that and I love overlanding content.
yes sir great content.
Thank you for the kind words 😊
Its been a long time since y'all posted anything new. I miss your videos. Good on ya' helping O.O.A. out.
We are about to start up again. New videos coming in May. Thank you for the kind words.
The talon is awesome. That pioneer would have cleared that hole with 4 wheel or 4 wheel locker. I have one and I know this.
Great, thanks for sharing. If I didn't know better, I would have thought you were in our "neighborhood" 😎
Thanks for the video. I haven't had a chance to explorer that area yet but planning on it soon and hoping for some good footage
Great Video. I have heard that the throttle is a little jumpy with the Pioneer. Have you heard the fix for that is "Throttle Max" ? What do you think?
Thanks for the compliment!! I’ve heard that there is a fix, but didn’t know the product.
So I replaced it because it was leaking all my water and very little oil now that I replaced it I can’t keep the oil in it as soon as I turn on the vehicle all the oil leaks out I followed the torque specifications I mean sure and went in there I am wondering if it’s a defective part I thought the aluminum one could you help me out with some suggestions?
So this is so crazy to me. I look for an oil cooling replacement video just as a refresh from the first time I had to do this about 6 months ago. First, mine is also black sheep.. lol looks very much like that one. Almost identical metal tubular fenders. Mine just have slots cut out on top. The first time I changed out the oil cooler was an exact story. Not sure where you boys are from. I’m here in the Carolina’s. Took my freshly bought sheep to a place called uwharrie. Had my stepson with me. He was a Jeep owner long before I bought this one. Looked like it’s never seen mud. That is until I took her to uwharrie. Spend the day on the trails and having a great time. On the way out, omg, the mud hole has a name. I have since forgotten it because the damn thing almost destroyed my Jeep. I was never gonna take it in mud. But I was coaxed into it. I’m not gonna lie, it was fun. But never again! I bought a pressure washer. High pressure washer..I washed it i can’t remember how many times. I laid under the jeep and pressure washed it. I’m still finding mud. NEVER AGAIN! I would say about a month later i had to change out the oil cooler as it started leaking oil. My mistake was trying to go cheap. NEVER AGAIN! I bought a black plastic one. Cost me about 75 bucks. Had to buy the gaskets separate. My first time ever changing out something of this magnitude. Found one really great video where it wasn’t a time lapse. He went slow and showed everything. The kind of bolts what to take off, what I didn’t have to take off, what I could just move to the side. However, no matter where I looked I couldn’t find the torque specs of any of the bolts. So my stupid self thought, ok just tighten em. So I borrowed a Milwaukee battery operated 3/8 ratchet and let er rip. Boy did it. Stripped 2 of the oil cooler bolts. I’ve never been so upset at myself in my life. But there are once in a lifetime lucky moments for me. I took the bolt to Lowe’s and found bolts identical to the originals but just a hair bigger in diameter. When I installed the bolts, I used a manual vintage torque wrench and prayed as I waited to hear the click. When it clicked I almost shed tears. Same thing with the second bolt. Another mistake I made was not putting any thread lock on the bolts. I’m sure you can guess what happened about 4 to 6 months later being on 37’s and knobby tires. I’m guessing the vibration loosened those bolts. Or stripped them back out again. I just assumed it was a big plastic pos oil cooler. So I too bought an all aluminum oil cooler. Even the cap is aluminum. I wasn’t taking any chances. I haven’t put it in yet because I have had a back injury that has prevented me from doing so. Rods and screws in my spine and now SI joint. But I am tired of seeing my baby just sitting there going to waste. I bought this cooler about 6 months ago. Yes, I’m sitting here with it in my lap. Lol I have got everything ready to get to work on it tomorrow. Going to say a huge prayer that the two bolts I stripped out the first time isn’t the issue. But if it is, I’ve come up with a hack to fix it. Hopefully there won’t be any issue and my back will let me get through it. Great video! Love the Jeep! Great job!
Thanks Brother!! Sorry bout your oil cooler misfortune. So far so good on my replacement. We are in Northwest Arkansas.
Question - how does driving through a hole and not around it affect the Oil Cooler? The reason I ask is I did the same thing in beach dunes but I thought maybe I over tightened the filter cap bc I did an oil change recently.
very delicious burger 🤤

Rizal!!! Al Paca Berr?
I think i am more inclined to a jeep beach craw! Love Fl. AZ has some great backroads too. Chkout Sedona too.
Maybe you could sell jeep some snippets of this crawl for your retirement stash!
If they’d buy, I’d sell!!!😀
Now you got a JEEP CRAWL! COLORADO is a whole different ball game! Im sure after you rode all day you were tired. Its Intense. We used to top the jeep crawl off with a bowl of chili and some music. Kick up our boot under the stars! Great memories bro. Please be safe.
I wonder if my 2023 Honda pioneer 700 will perform like that? You all have Pioneer 1000s in this video I do believe.
Yes, ours are 1000cc. I’m sure the 700 will perform well in all the same situations.
I have a Honda Pioneer 700, it's been an impressive machine so far. (Andrew Caruson Butt hurt over an Confederate flag below) hahah!!!
Yeah, he is exercising his 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech and expression. We respect that… but obviously for some, it’s only ok for Karen😇

AWESOME ATTITUDE!
This attitude on display in this video was brought to you by an anal orifice that had shamed me for running Rough Country suspension. Of course he didn’t have to purchase his suspension, it was donated to him through sponsorship. My goal, as a fellow Jeeper/Wheeler is to encourage only, regardless of the level of equipment or experience you have.
I love your vids. I like your honesty about not needing to buy the most expensive gear, etc. There's definitely a snob factor out there if your gear isn't a certain brand or certain size or a certain amount of this or that. That's all fine but I got into the overlanding hobby because of the independence it offers. Not all of us can afford to put a $20K suspension underneath or a $40K engine under the hood. I've been wheeling since long before it was "a thing" and the best rigs have always been the ones that people figured out for themselves, and built for themselves - on a budget. PS, please post what the list of materials was for your air-down kit. I'm going to build ome just like it!!
Thanks man! Yeah, in this video I had very recently been shamed for running Rough Country suspension. The guy knows who he is, and I decided to make a video or two talking to folks on how we can all wheel on a low budget and get equal outcomes as those guys with big sponsorships and such. I don’t think the folks who would shame others should be a part of the wheelin’ community. Or, they should at least keep quiet or just simply encourage others. Just my thoughts…
A year later but…. We are about to release an in shop demo video of our set up to include a detailed parts list… sorry it’s taken so long.
Man loved the video! I was just told that y’all live very close to us!
Where y’all at??

What suspension/tire size setup are on the pioneers?
I’ll have to check. I know we put a 3 inch lift on for this fella that’s driving the Pioneer in the mud hole, but I can’t recall the tire size.
Looks like you could have used a SIL for a Daniel Tree around minute 7 to 8. LOL
Yeah, we cleared that one by about 6 inches.
Looks like it was a great ride. Sorry we missed it. Yesterday was fantastic. Can't wait to see your video. :)
With all the content we captured yesterday, it should make for an epic video!! We agree with you, it was an outstanding adventure!!
