Holy Grail Neo Demo
zhlédnutí 46KPřed 9 lety
Electro Harmonix's new reverb from the line of Holy Grail pedals. Flerb has been replaced with a plate verb. Plate Verb: 0:16 Spring Verb: 4:40 Hall Verb: 10:00 Gear Used: Fender Blacktop Telecaster w/ Seymour Duncan Phat Cats, through a Vox AC30 CC2. Recorded with a Shure SM58. The pickup selector is set in the middle blending the two pickups the entire video.
I love how the staff is literally wrestling the entire crowd casually like its World War Z. Thats how you know it was a fun concert
It was one of the most fun crowds I'd seen up to that point. Also, anticipating this song coming in their set was so fun - The moment Brendan started playing the riff you felt something in the air, so sick.
That's awesome, man I wish I found this band before they stopped performing live. My cousin loved them and always tried to show me their music and I didn't really pay much attention until after the fact. They stopped performing live when I was 17. Been one of my favorite bands for the last 5 or 6 years. @NJStew22
Nice . Great when the crowd reacts to a live vibe
😳
Thanks for the demo. As great as it sounds, I didn't like the pedal for one reason only. The more the reverb knob is increased, the more white noise I hear. Unfortunately I have to pass on it then!
wow, that crowd
havent seen a show of theirs where the crowd isnt screaming along to the lyrics, such a loved group. rip.
Great demo! Thanks for posting it 😊
do it drip, doe?
Great demo
did anyone else JUMP in their bedroom when the random guys screams "AHH" at 0:40
ese pedal funciona muy bien con un vox!!
Hi Nicholas, very interesting demo; one question: I have the same pedal and have noticed that when is active and the knob is full counter clockwise a very subtle reverb can still be heard so it is not 100%dry signal ; have you noticed the same thing ?
Kinda sick of tweaking reverb pedals. I always prefer built-in reverb on amps because it's one knob (as long as it sounds decent). For amps with no reverb, THIS is the one. Great demo, thanks.
god I could just watch these videos over and over and over and over
KKKKKKKKKKKJ os man nn deixando os cara assisti direito
개미친눈물이줄줄흐른다......
I swear Boston area crowds go the hardest
Damn.
Their *laugh :)
Thank u
Uncle Rey
so fucking raw
Jake got stuck in a pop-punk jump loop for a bit there lol
This looks like the best thing ever
I love musicians who look like they're having the best time ever on stage
Exactly what I was looking for! Straight to the point and really showing the full spectrum of this pedal. Thank you!!
Rest. In. Power. WHATEVER FOREVER YALL.
Holy shit
kkinda changes tone like buffered pedals
trying to find me, i guess i have to rewatch over and over again
Thank you so much for posting this, it’s so cool to get to see this again, being there is one of my favorite memories so it’s awesome to watch
best night of my life. only if i could do it again.
@@derekcurtis51 it was such a sick show and at the time I'd never even heard of Joyce Manor!
@@Rs-xw4bj same here man! I had never heard of them until that night. Where were you at in the concert?
this was my first show/concert i ever went to and nothing could ever fucking top it
Lucky you.. holy shit
Im so fuckin jealous lol
Passed 9 o’clock it’s unusable
This is how reverb pedals should be demo'd. Enough with the shredding and heavy rock riffs. I want reverb for when I'm not shredding or thrashing.
nice i can feel a hot one
this looks to have been an incredible night! thanks for posting. hell yeah
So is the only difference between the regular neo version the abscence of the flange reverb setting?
Yes pretty much, It's simplified
@@moogleguitar I bought the Neunamber.
@@monsterjazzlicks is it any good?
@@brunokubin The Neunamber. is great, thanks. A bit expensive but much better than Behringer!
@@monsterjazzlicks i'm not sure whether to buy the holy grail neo or spend a little extra money and go for the immerse 😬
3:35 is so David Lynch
So good. I’ve been looking for reverbs all night but this one I mean how do you beat it
jump to 3:55 to hear full plate setting
What exactly do you mean when you say the pedal gets wet quick?
The pedal really gets very verbed out quickly. The knob is really sensitive. Whereas on the standard holy grail it takes till at least 1'oclock for the mix of dry signal vs. verb to get as verbed out.
It means it’s panties are dripping after 2nd base
I have one and I can attest to that. I can't use it past 9 o'clock
so excited for mine to arrive and be paired with my ac10 and les paul
Awesome tone! And perfect demo of the pedal man, thanks a lot!
No problem! Thanks for watching!
just ordered one today
Thank you. Great demonstration. I like your playing :)
Thank you! :)
I have this pedal and I like it a lot..it gets wet in a hurry but I make it work and sounds great to me.
I totally agree, that was the first thing I noticed when switching from the classic grail to this. Get's wet very quickly, but I also have learned to work with it. Worth it in my mind for the plate verb. Though to be honest, some times I miss the flerb...;)
Is this analog?
It is not!
+Nicholas James Stewart Awesome! And great job on the video and thanks for getting back to me freaking quick!:D
+Lawrence24 Thanks! I got a notification on my phone about it haha
Hey Lawrence, almost no reverb pedals are analog, no less a multi-effects reverb pedal. A spring reverb uses a coiled spring to emulate a reverb tone and can be seen in most amps and the Orion analog spring reverb pedal (which is the only analog spring reverb pedal I know of) You get the hall reverb tone by playing in a giant hall, and a plate reverb is generated by micing a GIANT metal plate and sending sound through it. I've only encountered one and it was 4x8' and crazy heavy
Are yo sure you read the Holy Grail Neo manual correctly? The manual clearly states its a "DIGITAL" reverb, not ANALOG!!! "Congratulations on your purchase of the Neo Holy Grail, an update to our wildly popular compact digital reverb, the Holy Grail. It contains three reverb algorithms: SPRING, HALL, and PLATE. All three algorithms were designed and tailored for the electric guitar but they work equally well on most instruments and voices." www.ehx.com/products/holy-grail-neo/instructions
What are you playing at 0:40?
It's a riff from a song called "Call A Search" by my friends band Arms And Ears. A bunch of the riffs I played in this are some of my friends bands.
+Nicholas James Stewart You are friends with the Beatles and Weezer (5:00 / 5:36)? Kidding of course :) . Great demo, that is one sweet sounding pedal.
What do you thin is better, this or the nano?
I really love the plate setting so I'm gonna say this guy. I do have to note that the pedal gets wet pretty quick, but it works fine for me.
thebetterdad get the neo
neo is more versatile, because what would you use “flerb” from the nano on?
@@andersharmsiddlyumptious sometimes you just want a big dumb flanger sound in the middle of your reverb
Nice!
