I'm surprised there's a few things you aren't doing here. Hydra tech has advanced a bit recently. One of the tiles in melee range in the northeast allows flame skipping without moving. If you just stand there when you're frozen in flame phase then you don't get hit. No tick perfect dodge needed or anything, it gets stuck without you needing to move. There's also a position based poison throw dodge that works 100% of the time, no need to run away and hope. Attack hydra 2 tiles in from any of its corner tiles and run 2 tiles diagonally across the corner when it throws poison and you'll dodge every time.
