This makes me want to get a tummy tuck even more now i had my first son 6 years ago and the diastasis recti never went awa regardless of what i would do. I got injured at workabout a year ago and they had me do physical therapy and they had me plank for 1min 3 times and it made it completely seperate again. General surgeon told me that DR repair only fixes horizontally by no more than 2cm and does not fix the DR vertically. Does anyone know if that is true? Will I get my abs back post-op and over time with the proper core PT?

My recovery has been brutal and I was in a lot of pain the first two weeks....BUT...primarily the pain was in my back and flanks from the liposection. The incision area is a weird/numb/icky feeling, but not painful. You start to get a few electric tingles in the abdomen a few weeks in but it is manageable. Overall, I am happy I went through with it and would do it again. p.s. her scar looks amazing...WELL DONE!
