Will it hold a curve in sandy soil?
No need for muzak!
lozl, this isnt a solution, this is selling a product. Tie a rope around the tree to a shovel so ot maintains yhr same radius as you cut into thr grass/soil to create a cut out. Job Done. I mean ypu should add mulch etc. but its beyter than this this AND it's free. This product actually makes mowing that edge difficult, you really need a line trimmer for a cleam edge which some prople may not have and is an extra step and extra maintenance cost.
They do but we also have 1200. 900 or 600 mm. Pre formed tree rings
EDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGEDGE
Do the locking tabs allow the segments to attach in a circle? I would like to edge around a few trees with them.
what type of gravel or what's the name of the gravel used in this video?
This is a 6-12mm Thames Valley flint :)!
what do you mean by primer? sorry if dumb question
Maybe a stupid question but does it matter if the corten edging is scratched? Ive got some of your corten edging and its been scratched slightly to a point where you can see the shiny metal below the rust.
Great question! Corten steel is designed to form a protective layer of rust when exposed to the weather. The orange appearance you see is caused by oxidation! The ‘rust’ layer inhibits further corrosion, which in turn strengthens the steel. If it gets scratched and the metal underneath is exposed, this area will form a new protective rust layer. Hope this helps 👌🏻
does this come looking like shitty rusted metal?
Corten is incredibly popular at the moment, people love the raw rustic appearance 👌🏻 We also supply in powder coated finishes too, they might be more up your street 👍🏻
hell yeah! it looks amazing
i love edging
Does it also prevent pot holes? How about long drive ways for very heavy trucks?
Hi 👋🏻 This product is specifically designed to stop ruts, dips and potholes. The gravel is held within 1000’s of honeycomb shaped cells, which in turn creates a strong long lasting surface. The product shown in our video is capable of withstanding 400 tonnes per m2 (point load) and would take the weight of a HGV. For regular HGV through traffic, it’s worth considering CORE COMMERCIAL… it’s our heavy duty gravel grid designed for car parks and access tracks… rated 850tn/m2 💪🏻 which makes it arguably one of the strongest products on the market. Drop us a message to learn more!
Any good on a sloping drive?
Works perfectly! We have different products, depending on the gradient 😃
Can you push a wheelchair over it ..and pull luggage like a suitcase on wheels over it ?
You can indeed, the product is fully DDA compliant! ♿️
Can one put a heating element under this for snow melting?
I have an ongoing problem with my limestone driveway here in Florida. It is pretty sloped, and a heavy rain washes it away, leaving multiple rivulets behind.
Why?
LOL! More ridiculous junk.
bugatti factory house driveway is beautiful
Thanks!
@@core_lp if your just using for gravel bed what do you need as a base
@@Viewer765 Hi there, if you wouldn’t mind calling our team on 01753652555 to explain your particular project we would be more than happy to assist!
🔥🔥🔥
Properly graded gravel doesnt have these issues. Water will subside if its not grades properly. Also no need for that much plastic for a gravel driveway…
if the world were full of people like you, we'd still live in caves.
Course it does - all gravel moves, if it doesn’t move it’s because it’s got a high fines content and it overcompacts which impacts drainage capabilities. Using a recycled gravel stabiliser like ours will prevent the age old problem of gravel shifting, rutting and causing puddles. CORE DRIVE is the most cost effective solution to a long lasting, SuDS and DDA compliant driveway. Thank you
@@core_lp how long does this last and what kind of maintenance needs to be done? Warranty? Thx
@@adriankap2978 we've had driveways installed in 2008 still looking as good as the day they were installed. We offer a 15 year warranty - with proper installation these should last the test of time.
I am edging in the garden
great news
Where can you purchase the edging materials.
@@pierreclermont1634 www.corelp.co.uk/purchase
Yeah? Or just be skilled in your profession and use a flat edge shovel.
With our product, you don't have to be a skilled professional! This means that everyone can have tidy lawn edges and perfect circles around their trees... making wonderful gardens accessible for anybody!
What drainage do you put for such projects please?
the product is completely porous (SUDS compliant!) , so if you install a porous sub-base no additional drainage is required! The water will return to the ground at source.
This is similer to the smaller black grids used on driveways but a larger area? The black grids are also used as bases for sheds. Can this also be used in the same fashion for sheds? I've been looking at core drive 40- 30. What do the numbers relate to?
They are very similar products, however this product features a weed membrane and a larger panel size. The larger panel size makes installation a lot easier, and the project will be more structurally sound. You can indeed use our grids for shed bases, pathways, patios, driveways, even commercial car parks! CORE DRIVE 40-30 is our domestic product, 40mm refers to the cell width and 30mm refers to the cell depth :)
Exactly what i needed to see!
Great to hear!
Good idea
Thanks Mark!
Sick of my tarmac, considering laying directly over it using this. (kerbing height allows it). Anything I should be mindful of?
If you're looking at refreshing an old tired tarmac driveway then these are the answer! Just ensure the tarmac drains, it might need drainage holes pecked into it (one every meter or so) If you would like to run through installation, or if you would like me to send across an installation guide for this exact purpose then please get in touch! 01753 652 555 Harvey CORE LP
How does it look after 10years?
Hi Damian, Apologies for the slow response! The product will still look just as good in 10 years!
The planets already polluted enough it doesn't need this pointless crap, just throw the stones down
It’s recycled plastic
Hi Sam, Thanks for your comment. We use recycled plastic - and our product provides customers with a safe, wheelchair accesible, SUDS compliant surface. It is a fantastic Eco-Friendly solution to the age old problems typically associated with gravel surfacing... Simply put, throwing down the stones will lead to ongoing maintenance, which is not only costly, but also less eco friendly! Harvey CORE Landscape Products
@@core_lp Well said, Core guy - and courteous, too. Yo, Sam - can't hear you now, you utter fat-mouthed tool.
How steep of a slope can it be applied on?
Hi CORE DRIVE 60-40 will work on a 1 in 5 slope, the grid in this video is good for up to a 1 in 10.
is that cotswold chipping? have you found the 50-30 strong enough for car traffic? many thanks for the review.
Hi Ash, It is indeed a 20mm Cotswold Chipping used here. CORE DRIVE 50-30 is more than capable of withstanding vehicular traffic, whilst remaining virtually invisible thanks to the sleek design!
@@core_lp i been reading that Cotswold Chippings crush easily and therefore not good for driveways? How have you found it mate?
@@RDR1456 In the grids the stone doesnt take as much compaction / pressure - because the weights supported by the plastic grids! So it doesn't crush 🦾
