Lower Shell Creek Canyon
Kayaking the Lower Canyon of Shell Creek at minimum flow- 200 CFS. Put in is 1 mile above the bottom of the switchbacks. Ideal flow is 300-400 cfs for the section above the parking lot.

Kayaking Tensleep Creek above the highway switchbacks. Put-in is the highway 16 bridge, take-out at the first pull-out below the last switchback. Creek drops over 1000' in this 2.5 mile stretch. Lots of new wood and several mandatory portages as of May 2024. Level was 350cfs (1'3" on the LTP gage) when we put on and 400 (1'7") at the take-out.
