Hey there, Folks! I'm back for another fun season of Duck Hunting, here in Southern Ontario. This year netted me some beautiful birds and got to see the likes of more than just our native species.

We all know it's slow going early waterfowl season here in Southern Ontario. It would appear the ducks are still up north. We thought we were the first ones to hunt this spot but it seemed that wasn't the case. I don't know if it was the weather or the wind or the decoys or the hunters stationed 300 meters across from us.. Just couldn't get the birds to land. regardless, this is what a bad day ...

Today was sunny, warm and NOT Happenin' for bird activity.. unless you count seagulls.. Jake and I had a few opportunities come our way. Also, upon reviewing this footage i'm not sure what kind of ducks landed in my spread.. Do you think they were woodies? or could they have been merganzers? Check out how they fly We also had a coot looking bird fly right into the spread near the end of the vid...

Is it me or does he seem methed out.
Im a cheap ass on all gear except mu gun and decoys. The cheapest way ive texas rigged all of mine is with heavy dute weed whip line in dark green. My weights are 1 1/4" nuts, about 5oz each. I have access to tons of em free. After i make them i plasti dip the nuts.it keeps them from beating my paint up.

Do what I did, buy the hawkeye fishtrax 1c (the best one out of the three) and buy a smaller gopro tripod for it. And rechargeables. Ultra portable, you don't even really need the tripod. It works great and you don't have to haul a huge expensive fishfinder around. Look'em up on ebay.
