Dr Doumit recounts the sheer trauma and tragedy unfolding due to the massive explosion on August 4th . On that day over 200 nurses were directly affected with 6 colleagues losing their life . Dr Doumit’s primary focus is to find ways to support these nurses who have been injured and have had homes damaged or destroyed . Nurses who want to return to work cannot do so as they cannot leave their damaged home unsecured and also many rely on a car to do community visits visit or get to their workplace as there is no public transport even before the explosion .

The ICN's, Basic Principles of Nursing Care, translated into 30 languages, outlines the unique role of nurses in helping individuals, sick or well, achieve independence [or experience a peaceful death] through encouragement and teaching. Everybody needs a nurse.

Thanks for ICN supporting Taiwan. But in ICN closing ceremony, why did Chinese representative touch Taiwan representative's badge? No matter how China bully Taiwan, it won't change the fact that Taiwan is never part of China.

Even if you are a nurse, you still have the capacity to disrespect others. Anyway, congratulations to all the fabulous nurses out there who ensure the best treatment to others! This profession is not easy at all.
