Caravaning at Horrocks Beach, WA
We had one night in Horrocks staying at the Horrocks Beach Caravan Park using our G'day membership for a discount. We and a swim and the next morning walked to Little Bay Campground which is only suitable for small 4WD vehicles. We ventured west to Pindar and Mullewa to see the wildflowers. Charlottes Bush Camp is a nice little spot to stop over close to the Wreath Flowers and completely free. Coronation Beach is a beautiful little campground north of Geraldton, WA. It's right on the beach and offers drop toilets, free wi-fi, bins, dump point and a viewing platform above the campground. Great Camp at Eneabba, WA

We found Eneabba Recreation Centre Campground on Wikicamps, it is $5 per person and they provide showers and toilets. It is a big green grassed oval with lots of space. We took a walk around town and found it to be a lovely little place with a General Store, fuel and food. It was a great camp, quiet and friendly. Galena Bridge Free Camp and Gladstone Bay Camp, WA

We called into Gladstone Bay Campground to have a look but due to the bad weather we decided to keep moving towards Perth. We found Galena Bridge 24 hour stop over which was a fantastic free camp. There are two campgrounds, one on either side of the river. We stayed on the North side but went for a walk to look at the South Camp. We stayed one night at the Carnarvon Discovery Parks Caravan Park so we could visit the Baxter parkrun at Carnarvon. We also went to the Space Museum which was fun. We stayed at Fubbys Retreat Free Camp 20 km out of Coral Bay and used it as a base to explore Coral Bay. Accomodation in town is challenging without booking ahead. Yannaire River 24 hour free camp is a fantastic camp on the way to Exmouth from the North. Lots of space, toilets, two dump points, picnic tables, birds, fires, dogs and generators allowed. The some noise from the main road during the day but overnight it is quiet. We stayed 5 nights in Karijini National Park, three at Dales Campground and two in the overflow campground. We were lucky with the weather as it was threatening rain as we left. We visited everything that was open so we do have a lot of beautiful gorge footage. Great video. There would be worse places to breakdown. 2 weeks here waiting for car. One thing about the 3 way roadhouse, is VERY relaxed. Owners and stuff , they go out of their way to help you out.

What a coincidence to come across your great video. Was there that night staying in a room for work in the area when Scott woke me up around 1am with a drink in hand. Fire near telegraph station and heading north. I went back to bed bothered by being awakened not by the fire. It was miles away and fires are the norm in the NT. Was surprised to see in the morning, the travellers had evacuated. Hope you got some sleep in the end.

do not understand Aussies, i drive deep into the bush, I take a pick n shovel, you'll never see where I stopped Aussies are never happy unless they have 20 other vans near em driven 56 lands all over, in France i throw up a tent, usually by a crystal clear stream bah here it is just gumtrees, more red dirt, throw 200 diesel in the wagon, day after day

The video goes for 8.35 minutes, I forgot to trim the music so it goes black after 8.35 minutes, we've trimmed it online now which we haven't done before and it said it will take a few hours to process, fingers crossed this will fix the problem. Nice to have this pop up on my recommended today, a mate and his wife are there yesterday / today 3/8/24 and he was going to climb Mt Nameless today if it wasn't raining ! FYI, Mt Meharry is the highest peak in WA, and you can drive to it . . . with a very solid 4WD and a little bit of steel nerves at on switchback step.

We are heading from the Falls towards Normanton , so it was nice to see what the other camp sites are like before we get there. Its cool and windy here at present......definitely don't need the air con.....in fact early in the morning we have had the Diesel Heater on.

So we are camped up here at the moment and wondering if it was safe to kayak. Regarding if it’s croc free. We only have SUP inflatable boards.
@@twocoddiwompletravellers it was fairly low and muddy when we were there. Shouldn’t be any crocs but check with the locals on that one. We caught red claw which was fun. Safe travels.

I had the most wonderful time there back in July 2022. Great place, awesome people and the food was so good. Coffee too. Fascinating array of olde farming machinery spread around, lovely gardens and the whole place well maintained and clean. Pretty much each week I', wearing my Pinnarendi T-shirt (good quality too. That's why it's lasted so long! ) 🥰
