16 Hotkey Ring For OBS - Genki Wave
This is my new favorite streaming tool in the studio-a ring with 16 programmable hotkeys that we use to control OBS.
We've been experimenting in our live streaming studio, trying out new methods to enhance stream control. While we use a Stream Deck with OBS like most streamers, being confined to a table with a wired controller feels limiting in our spacious setup. Yes, we have the Stream Deck mobile app on both a tablet and a phone, but holding them and navigating while moving around is awkward and takes up space.
So, what if we could turn the Stream Deck buttons into wearable hotkeys with gesture controls? The Genki Instruments Wave is the best solution I’ve tried so far, and I want to share it.
Originally designed for hands-free music production, like editing or DJing, the Wave is a MIDI controller. A few years ago, they released the Wave for Work software app, which allows it to control music playback, volume, Zoom meetings, muting, raising hands, push-to-talk, and other pre-programmed actions. But for us in the studio, the custom hotkey commands are the most exciting feature.
While the device has only three buttons, you get four total actions-including swipe left and right, thanks to the built-in gyroscope.
For music production apps, there are more motion-based controls, but in the hotkey work app, you're limited to left or right swipes. There are four programmable profiles, selectable by long-pressing the up or down buttons to cycle through them. A small display shows your current profile, and we also have the Wave app on screen for additional visual cues.
If swiping isn’t your thing, the middle button can disable that feature. So, if you move around a lot, you can simply turn it off and back on as needed. Or, you can assign the middle button to be a regular hotkey, leaving you with 12 options in total.
Most of our camera scenes are linked to function keys, so in the Wave app, we simply assign the buttons in each profile to those same function keys.
We’re big tech nerds here in the studio, and if you're an IRL streamer, cooking, or doing any content creation that takes you away from your desk, I highly recommend checking this out.
Now, about the cost. A regular 15-key Stream Deck is much cheaper, and if you have an old mobile phone, the Stream Deck app is even more affordable and offers a portable Stream Deck experience. But not having to look at a screen or hold a device is incredibly convenient-at least for what we do here in the broadcasting studio.

Can the cops track you with your public iP address
Thank you for this. So incredibly sad. All parents/family members should watch this.
Thank you and glad that you enjoyed it!
i got doxxed it was pretty funny lol
Is there a way of watching the repeat of this session, which I missed unfortunately?
You are on the replay of the session right here on CZcams. Just let the video play
you say the police got involved. but what are they gonna do? go up in a rocket and arrest him? he is always that one step ahead of them.
Is it Bluetooth compatible for headphones?
Yes, at least I think so
yes it is
ask them to give it back
I am partially blind and a big fan of the iPod Shuffle (Rest in Peace) I've been curious about this Mighty device for a while now. Thank you for the review of it. Now I feel more comfortable putting this in my Amazon shopping cart! Have a nice day! 🎵
And still police can't find/identify criminals
And still police can't find/identify criminals
they had these in the rehab i was in. was shocked to see the price tag because they were not treated the best lol. just switched to a flip phone so i was looking for options so i can still use my spotify account, this being the best but not worth the price imo
You are not that guy pal Rotten blueberry looking ah
I have a huge issue with battery life. It's completely dead after only 5 hours( without doing anything, no texting, nothing)..
Maximizing Battery Life Reduce the display brightness and timeout (Display Settings). Turn off wrist gestures (Display Settings). Reduce the vibration level (Sound and Vibration Settings).
a weird friend of mine sent me images of myself and my wife naked from one of these tools, to be honest we just found it funny. its not us.. we know we dont look like that everyone that saw it knows.... its abit of weird creepy fun. though i would prefer them to always be watermarked so its evident it is fake.
You get public information, you make them install malware or hack their computer in some way. Just like making a R.A.T (Remote Access Trojan)
Define 'teen'?
Generally, in our high school digital literacy workshops, we work with teens between the ages 13-17
What if its an accident and you meant to send it to someone else.
LMAO WHAT 😭
@@yarisosaa bruh are you telling me you have never sent the wrong person a text meant for someone else? I'm pretty sure everyone I know has done this.
That.. There is no difference, especially in the way you described it. I'd understand accidentally sending the wrong image, but you specifically said sending it to the wrong person, which is still very illegal.
In the rare event that you would go to Court for that, I’m sure you would be fine lmao
Part of the Crown prosecution's job is to prove a guilty mind.
You're an evil person if you distribute something which was intended as something exclusive within the relationship.
The gangs drink water too so lets ban water
That is exactly the same issue we have with banning social media argument.
That law was enacted by Justin Trudeau, he wanted to make sure that none of his gay friends sent his picture around without his say so.
They don't actually enforce this I have used their service. The movie companies went after Them bc they are like one of the only VPNs based in the US.
🤮
When teens get to ask anonymous questions, we get all kinds of interesting questions.
o
and what please is your isp goin to do? thats kinda like your car got stolen and you call your dealership.. there is virtually nothing they can or will do lol
Yes
Theres been a lot done to prevent injuries in sports. It also requires good coaching and training in contact sports on how to take hits and how to hit properly. Not to mention the incredible advances in protective gear.... yeah you can argue that kids are ' safer' playing online sports... but what these guys seem to miss is the team work and camaraderie that comes from playing these sports. Most injuries I've ever come across in sports is older out of shape guys trying to relive the glory days.
If you leak your IP or someone finds your IP in someway, the best thing to do is try and get it changed immediately and the best way of doing that is getting a new router or seeing if your ISP can change your IP address and then you should be safe and on a sidenote, when they get your IP if they put it into a search thing, they can probably also get your postal code which isn’t a huge deal, but it will tell them a general area of where you live. But the biggest thing is to just change your IP and you should be fine.
Also
What do you do when they get your IP on a mobile device like a iPad because this hacker that my friend was saying got my IP I am not sure but just in case I downloaded the VPN so like can you please tell me what to do?
vanguard owns my pc, i cant uninstall it, i cant remove it, i cant hide it, its just there, for ever and ever. same as opera
Vanguard is such a headache. Running at the kernel level, it does the job, but at what cost.
I have the first gen Mighty. Was wondering if the battery Life is better on this version 3. Listening to music while running you get maximum one hour when using bluetooth headphones.
The idea for the Mighty seems great but I just got one and cannot get it to sync any songs. If at any point in the long wait for it to sync the device disconnects, you have to start over again. I'm on my 4th attempt to sync and it's still at 0% after 10 minutes.
She does not care about womens rights. So disgusting.
Erm what the sigma
Jagmeet Singh is behind this Bill
This happened to me in Discord.
Bro same they threatend to dox me if I didn’t get them stuff in a game
Same
Knowing your IP is similar to them knowing your car license plate number. Every online app or website you visit knows your IP number.
What about chats and ss notifications??
I want bay, but they hevn't option to send to Poland. :(. Can somewone give me webseide to schops who send it to ather countries?
Lmk if you've heard this one before: Mandatory house arrest for people the government decides MIGHT become "dangerous" to others in the future. Bill C-63 is a lockdown remix for legislating the latest iteration of MANDATORY HOUSE ARREST. We've had a sampling of many variations on the lockdown theme. Two weeks to 2 years of "flattening the curve", from locked down houses to quarantine hotels to curfews, frozen bank accounts, border travel restrictions and all the rest of it. Brought to you by a government that's so corrupt, they can't event make a basic iPhone app without somehow scamming 100s of millions of taxpayer dollars in the process. Fortunately, They're vastly outnumbered. by We The People. And when We take a stand, their game is over. Stand with Your Fellow Canadians and SAVE CANADA NOW
I was watching one of your digital literacy streams in my class. And you mentioned you played fortnite, so my question is how good are you at fortnite?
Well, I play more for fun with my friends. But we do try to win. I can hold my own, but only in no-builds lol - Brandon
soooo this charges via 3.5mm in 2024?? Thats a dealbreaker. Nobody wants to carry another cable with them. Since its also targeted at families kids and you lets say you take a vacation and the kids take this with them but god forbid you forget this one tiny little cable, and since you have 0 chances of buying one you cant use it after 2 days.
It's definitely an odd aspect. We would hope that any new version would incorporate USB-C for universal charging.
As far as most Australians are concerned, the cat is out of the bag, she is merely an imported foreign mouth peace to put australia on the world map as being the first country of the western Orin to transform from what’s left of its democratic ideals, to a Stalinist corporate controlled enterprises as a way forward untoward a heavily censored social construct, that can be manipulated by pure politically elite & corporate enterprise classes for lucratively rich minorities! This treacherous woman uses false platitudes of marketing based upon child safety concerns as a political guise to deeply censor online political gatherings & controversial questioning of political media propaganda! PS: She doesn’t fool most here in australia
An evil woman. Please take her back, America. We don’t need bureaucrats deciding what we can see and hear.
8gb in 2024 is a bummer, especially with no expandable storage option. Having 3,500 songs in my Liked Songs playlist would mean cratering it to fit. Would love to see an SD card option, or even larger models, and would love to see this technology combined with a small speaker.
True, while there are more general technologically advanced (and cheaper) music players available, and some that access a Spotify subscription, the niche uses for workouts and our perspective on screen-free family use and monitoring do provide a solution that other devices may not offer.
@@TheWhiteHatter And that's actually why I love it! Just wish I could see a bigger model, possibly in the form factor of a JBL Clip.

Hello hello!
If you don't own what you buy, then piracy is not theft.
Unfortunately, the courts don’t see it that way.

censorship is evil Even when applied for 'good' intentions. the source is disrespect of other people.
