Fun roads coming into Arkansas. My buddy Jim crashed in the yard at 3:43 right as you enter Jasper. Great views on the right and very fun curves. My bike is a 2024 Yamaha Tracer GT

Nice road! You left your video on after you parked
@@vickibreyfogle4732 Yes I'm trying to edit that down. I was talking to the nice lady owner of the hotel right there that I was staying in called the Arkansas house. That place is amazing
Congratulations. Safe ride.
Good choice
Beautiful Chris!
Do NOT encourage a child to hit a dog!!! Are you insane!?!😊
Apparently so. I've had 6 dogs and that's how to you tell them what's bad. I've never even come close to leaving a mark or drawing blood. How do you think dogs behave with each other? How do they set boundaries? It ain't warm and fuzzy!
Did you ever figure out your custom setting? I just bought a 24' Tracer 9 GT plus last week. You were doing it right. While on the custom setting, just toggle up until it reaches the 1 setting and that's it.
I did. I have it full power, soft suspension, it's awesome. I did use Sport mode on a very twisty smooth road, I love how it stiffens up the fork on braking. I've owned 21 bikes and this is the best ever. I read a quote from a magazine that I agree with, it said, "Find the right road and wind it open though and the GT comes alive. It’s refined and composed (as you’d expect of a model several generations into its development) but scores the rare double of being the bike you want to get there on - and the bike you want to be on when you get there."
@@cpsmith835 I totally agree! That's why I bought it. LOL!
Yup, very cute!

The oil pressure warning light was flashing when running?
Yeah, I noticed that myself when watching the video, I wish I would have noticed it when I was there. It didn't do that initially. Not ideal. I picked it up a couple days ago, it's under warranty, fingers x'ed I guess.
I suspect it will be a faulty switch otherwise the engine would be seriously damaged by now. My GT+ oil press light goes out instantly and stays out so get it checked ASAP
@@bytio I rode it home 14 miles and it had no issues.
Good to hear enjoy the bike it’s great fun
@@cpsmith835never happened again?
Your practicing is paying off Chris!
one headlight is regular function, two when high beams are on. weird, huh?
I had a Tuono like that, and the headlights were halogen, terrible lighting. I put a different OEM harness on that powered both lights all the time and replaced the stock bulbs with LEDs, major upgrade. I was experimenting with the lights in the my garage last night on the Tracer, bike facing out and foggy weather, so it was really easy to see the amount of light and pattern of both low and high. Just putting the brights on tripled the light. I'll be running the brights all the time I guess.
what do you think about the suspensions?
I pick it up tomorrow. I test rode one at Barber Vintage Festival, was great. It was on a demo ride, so no hooliganism was allowed. A friend has a 2021, and I can't keep up with him.
I rode it home, it was fine. I noticed in SPORT mode, it was quite stiff. I switched it to STREET mode and it was a lot better. But on a really smooth twisty road, SPORT would work very well.
High on my list for sure... It's sweet
God My motorcycle also had this malfunction today How should I fix it?
I assume you mean the FI Error? C14's get that all the time. It used to flash up and go away at least once or twice a year. It's harmless. Mine was legit because I had a dead battery, but generally it's just EMF (electro magnetic interference). If it's only up for 1 second and it goes away with no issues, ignore it.
@@cpsmith835 FI Error 23.My situation is the same as your video. I'm in the mountains and there's no after-sales service. I have to fix it myself.
@@cpsmith835 I've fixed the glitch... Discovered that my camshaft position sensor wire had been chewed by a mouse...
Congrats man. Enjoy it and ride safe
A lovely dog , Will be loved , I'll be bound
Nice!!
Great road, have ridden it MANY times. I would suggest a bike smaller/lighter than a C14, that bike gets heavy on some of those Arkansas roads! Be safe!
Every bike is a compromise. I had a Tuono that was FUN on those roads but it sucked getting down there and back, especially when it was cold. I bought the C14 new and it has 111k miles on it, so it's getting traded in when the 2024 Yamaha Tracer GT+ comes in. I did use teh C14 to chase and catch a guy on a Street Triple on Deals Gap, any bike is a sport bike if you ride it hard enough.
Reminds me of Hwy 7 on our way to Hot Springs! Loved that trip!
Does that radar detector work?
Very well. It has a Visual Alert on the dash, so instead of making noise which can't be heard, it flashes LEDs that are mounted high and center on the dash, they shine right in my eyes, visible in daylight.
@@cpsmith835 awesome, thank you.
Strengthen your grip by turning both hands more to the right. Should see 2 1/2 -3 knuckles on left hand. Match right hand underneath to match left. Palms facing each other. Then feel like you're swinging a little more to the right through impact. It'll naturally increase club head speed and give you a push draw. Won't need to take a huge back swing to get same or more distance on all clubs. Hope this helps.
Did you solve it yet?
Ordered an exhaust came sensor, waiting on it to arrive
@@cpsmith835what was the problem?

Get your hands closer to your body that’s a huge slice sir

On the simulator maybe down middle

Have you tried disabling the off route recalculation?
I ride a Multistrada and I would attest, they are fast.
The Speed Triple was replaced 3 years ago by a 2013 Tuono, the S3 was very practical, lots of low end. The Tuono is just madness everywhere and sounds like nothing else.
Prⓞм𝕠𝕤𝐌 💯
Change setting to Don’t Recalculate Route, and add lots of waypoints along the route, forcing it to stay on your intended track.
This is what you get with beta software. Happens with every device. They do the beta tests to find the bugs.
Did you get this fixed? Having the same problem sometimes. Making a “collection” in explorer which always show on the map with the name “active” can be a temporary workaround. If you just have that one route in there showing always on the map, it wil show it as a blue route on the map, so you can at least follow it. Eventually it will pick up the route.
I don't use Explore, I don't see the value? I just make my starting waypoint a long way from where I actually start. I posted this right after I got the GPS last year. Made routes for 9 days and did 5 national parks in Utah and it worked great. They changed it now, no 'BETA 1.1 for XT' anymore.
Report it to Garmin and send link of this example video.
Thanks for the ride.
What a fun romp that is! Thank you for sharing!
Ouch! I'm sorry, and glad you seem to be okay.
I broke 4 ribs. It sucked really bad. I was back at the gym 7 weeks later. Just tore the bad parts off and ordered them a couple weeks ago, they are on the way from Italy.
Speed whenever and wherever you want. Passing on a double yellow straight up puts everyone's' lives in danger.
Why?
I get it, I ride, I go faster than average traffic, and pass frequently on county roads, so its frustrating when someone decides to be the 'law', but maybe you shouldn't pass on a a double line. Not to mention from the view of the video it looked like on coming traffic was pretty close.
He was going slow and we were going fast. Do you have any idea how long it takes a 175 hp motorcycle to make a pass? Hint, not long.
@@cpsmith835 I ride a Yamaha FZ10, I know its only a flick of the wrist. Regardless, being patient for a few minutes is better than weeks in the hospital after a wreck (whether its your fault the jerk who runs you off the road). I get it, adrenaline is pumping, speed is fun, and passing is easy. I love speed, I love corning, and I hate getting stuck behind slow trucks. I'd just rather see someone be smart and wait till the pass is clean and risk-free, then cut it close. Best case scenario you give the riding community a bad name, (insert stereotypical old man shaking his fist screaming "Those darn hooligans!") worst case I come up behind your wreck and have to make a 911 call instead of meeting you at the next gas station or pull off with a view and talk about the beautiful ride we just did.
The oncoming traffic wouldn't have been as much of a concern if the guy hadn't gotten in the way, they had plenty of time at first
@@user-sp4wi7mv2k I agree, it looked like the first time they attempted to pass they were in the clear. And it looks like the only reason the truck stopped harassing the biker was because they didn't want to be in the opposite lane since another vehicle was coming.
@@joes.8518 You do you, ok?
This happens all the f*&^ing time out west. I've had guys lean out the side of their truck and wave their pistols at me. And for whatever reason, it's almost always a Dodge pickup. Why?
Haven't had that happen yet, seems a bit extreme. Guess is they had a bad experience with a biker at one time?
Lol, wow. What a shithole country. Waving guns at each other.
Trumpers
Cool! That last piece of music had me wondering when the pole-dancers were coming on!
Learn how to stay on your side of the road.
I cut some corners intentionally. If I wanted to, I could.
That looked like a fun trip. That sure was nice of you to let those old guys ride with you. Hopefully they did not slow you down too much. 😁
Wtf! That Ducati is pretty fast!!!
We both have new bikes now, he has a KTM 1290 Duke GT and I have an Aprilia Tuono, both are a lot faster than either of the bikes in this video. I sold the Speed Triple for the Tuono. The Speed Triple is a bit more refined, the Tuono is just raucous. That V4 sounds insane.
@@cpsmith835 just get A V4R
@@Smzxe I have a Tuono, I kinda like it. It's a 2013, still pretty quick and makes the cool sounds. So I saved like 20k, which is something that appeals to me.
@@cpsmith835 Personally i can never go back to having short bikes after owning a multistrada,i am 190 cm so my choices are pretty limited when looking for a high power tall machine
Nice job Chris! Epic trip!
