When I saw this in the theater in 1995 I was so glad that John Singleton had the ice cube character talk about the IMF World Bank. And that they really call the shots. One of the biggest disappointments I’ve had in the last 25 years is not hear almost anybody find out what that meant and continue to talk about it today. Yeah there are plenty of dudes that want to tear statues down and all the other symbolism but that doesn’t mean a damn thing. They also will focus all their energy on colonialism. But I can get almost nobody to learn about the all powerful IMF World bank whose original members colonialism was created for. And who still today control the former colonies and other countries Economically.

Near the very beginning of this movie one of the girls tells the Busta Rhymes and ice cube characters that she heard they are super Duper seniors. 24 years old and still haven’t graduated. I guess it makes sense they don’t care that class starts in the morning early.
