I had noted that there should be a better way to bike to TJ safely. (Or combo bike-mass-transit). Despite a $90 million dollar renovation, it only has one old, ill-placed bike rack in the back. henleyconstruction.com/portfolio/thomas-jefferson-high-school/ A fellow alum asked how many students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology actually bike to school, and that the lack of existent demand justified the poor facilities. School facilities also serve other people, teachers, staff, the surrounding community, etc. Why not give them the chance at active/mass transport? tjTODAY just did a video highlighting how a student used public transport: - czcams.com/video/k45GfY4WYkw/video.html - the student makes a great point, he can be independent and increase his commute by 15 minutes, from 40 to 55, but conversely he can save his parents an hour twenty minutes if he doesn't have to be picked up.
