Interesting... Dad and Grandpa used to plant hairy vetch and Austrian winter peas to enrich the soils in the hayfields and pastures back before my time... How about bloat?? Any issues there?? I like the idea of some seed blends and have been considering planting some patches of oats and peas in the fall (this is for SE Texas, so warmer than SC, few freezing days/nights in winter but not much; we're 60 miles off the beach just to the west of Houston) and maybe sorghum/sudan and forage soybeans or cowpeas in late spring... mainly for grazing at the moment... my main concern is about bloat-- I know how to manage sorghum/sudan to avoid Prussic acid... Hello, I live in Cary, NC, adjacent to Raleigh, and I am looking to over seed with , I think Titan Rx. But! then I noticed that TLC Blend is resistant to diseases like brown patch, red thread, and rust. For this area, would you recommend TLC Blend or Titan Rx? Thanks.
