I know it’s exactly how I felt. It was a great day mate. Not only did I get the bike I also managed to get oasis tickets so it was a double bubble fun day

They sized me up for the bike. They didn’t do the bike fit you’d need to get one of them off a bike fitter

@@CyclingwithRuss I thought that most of the big brands did in house bike fits, I know Cookson’s in Prestwich who are Trek agents do a free bike fit with a bike sale. You’ve really turned my head with that madone, I’m likely to get an insurance payout for a car hitting me on a roundabout last summer but to be honest I couldn’t ever see me spending sl6 gen 8 prices but you know, depending on your experiences with Maddy I just might!

She’s a beaut of a bike. The emonda is no more matey. Can still get them but they wanted me on the latest bike. I would still have chose this bike though as it’s a weapon out on the roads 😍

My domane is in bits in the attic feeling sorry for its self waiting for me to get it repaired. There is a difference in position but I’ll talk about that in that video. I’ll try showing it on the comparison feature on the website or maybe get the Gen 4 at the store and do a comparison there. Honestly a feel incredibly lucky man. This year has certainly been a weird one so far 🙈

I already had some tape there so the old tubes didn’t mark my rims. They’ve been brilliant so far. Feel like I need to lower the pressure a bit though or maybe go with a wider tyre. They feel really bad on the rougher surfaces. Will be putting my winter wheels on next month so probably will wait

I’m enjoying them but got to say I do miss the tubeless atm. Will probably go back to it after winter next season. There a lot better feeling than the butyl

Took about 6 days to arrive and I’ve never had any issues getting things here with Ali express. I’ve ordered tons of them. Maybe I should have included that in the video 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have had one puncture since uploading this but it was caused by dirt in the tyre. I’ll talk about it in a future video. I done 100 mile yesterday on them and had zero issues and the roads was terrible.

There so fast mate. It’s not gone as well as planned if I’m honest mate because of one thing or another but training is starting later this month and the diet is being sorted this week

Sorry for the late reply ive been really busy. The 1050 looks awesome but the 1040 is still a great device. Ive got the Beta software from the 1050 on my 1040 and its got all the features from the 1050 except the bell. Yes you can report road hazards and seems to be running really good. Hopefully they'll release it soon to all devices

It’s a great descent that one. It’s recently been resurfaced so it’s pretty good now. It’ll be nothing though in comparison to what you have in France. I’m desperate to get out there riding some of the big Cols

A size 56 is 9.85kg or 21.72 lb. It would be easy though to get that weight down with the right upgrades. I wouldn’t worry too much about much though about that as it’s probably easier to lose weight off your self

@@CyclingwithRuss Thanks. I already have the bike, but its way heavier than my much cheaper old Fuji bike. So Im still driving the same speed even the Trek is better. I also added some heavier wheels so I can drive on gravel, but I think it is the bike itself that is heavy. Going to the pyrenees next month, so will see how heavy it really is there : )

It’s a super comfy bike as long as you’ve got the right size. The trek charts said I should have had a 58 but felt more comfortable on a 56. Enjoy your new bike day 😍

@@CyclingwithRuss thanks Russ - I sat on both the 56 and the 58 and the 58 felt better. The guy I saw the first time suggested 58 and a different guy in the same shop second time suggested the 56 - both just by looking at me. My measurements suggest the 58, but to be fair either would work, but I preferred the fell of the bigger bike.

It’s a great bike and it can deffo help you climb
