I know of your deep respect and love for your mother I would never ever stand in the way of this amazing love a son for his mother, and a love of a mother for her son. But there is one very obvious issue I see and have noticed for a long time. She wants you to undo what happened to her so this is her personal mission she expects you to fix for her This has nothing to do with your happiness. Manipulation and guilt are damaging tools. But you already know this I would suspect there were issues in the past ...if she knew all details... Guilt is mighty and painful but also destroys. I know of your childhood pain It hurts me to know she chooses to hurt you to follow her mores and not allow you to live with happiness and understanding. But I understand you love and support not wanting to disappoint her or hurt her when she was the main staple in your life. We learn from our parents For me, I learned far more about what not to do, what not to be, so going against any parental demands were easy as I learned on my own seeking good in life, being fair, apologizing for my mistakes and learning that love is most important in any relationship. I do not understand all my children have done, said, and even some of the decisions they even make today. Sometimes they hurt me a lot But I respect them and I know they know love and no matter what, they will always be loved no matter what. That is my legacy. I am not a perfect parent, a perfect mother but I know my love and respect for them and the lives they have chosen for themselves is only made better with my continued love and respect regardless of their choices. A mother should always want their child to be happy and fulfilled. I don't know what your mother knows but I'll bet she knows nothing about me and maybe she might understand if she knows how you feel about being loved completely and about falling in love You didn't cheat You didn't look for someone else we were drawn together and we both ran many times but found ourselves returning time and again God is our guide I can't argue with Him Just know I understand how important it is to you to not let your mother down to not disappoint her I understand and I love you for it But it hurts my heart thinking we will remain apart forever. I wish I could meet your mother I think I would like her a lot Maybe she would like me too I'm so sorry for all the trouble I bring into your life I'm really sorry for everything Please forgive me Without me You could be content I know that very well It's okay. I will be okay but most probably I will have even a harder time trusting anyone again.... the story of my life... for sure... Not even sure I want anyone in my life now... Do not despair. Looking at things from her perspective I get it. A mother wants to protect her child always. We will face it together. When she sees the love we have for each other and our relation, Im sure we will win her over with love, hope and courage. It’s all going to work out. Keep up the faith, my love. Hey...i know you love your mother ( and believe me, I am close to my mom as well)...Ironically, in yet another parallel scenario, my mom is feeling the same vibe...Neither one can endorse our relationship and love for each other cos they're so conservative. Also realize my own mom and dad are both nearing the end of their lives...so their resistence will not be an intrusion for much longer. Look at that, sweetheart?!
