    They said 19 hours? WTF my mom said in order to help her pregnancy her and my dad and a nurse with a wheelchair walked laps in the hospital halls. I guess it was the only thing that worked. She says all 5 of her kids she kind of just forgot about the pain part and doesn’t remember how bad it was because she always wanted more kids after each kid hit 2 🤷‍♂️ lmao

    I had my second two weeks ago & followed all three of these tips. I gave birth in the hospital on all fours and baby came after pushing three times because I waited for my body to tell me when to push 🤍

    Telling her daughter she wasn’t in pain is just setting that kid up for a huge wake up call. If the child was so young that mom just didn’t want to scare her then she was too young to be involved. Period.

    I've had 4 babies and am about to have 5 and 6 (twins). One of the best things I've learned is to wait to push until you can't keep yourself from pushing. For me the contractions will start pushing the baby but I can still hold back and not "help". At some point that changes and my body is forcing baby out and I cannot help but push (think of it like a good poop). I think it's called the fetal ejection reflex. Each time I have done this I have only had 1-3 active pushes before baby is safely out. No tearing.

    Babys health and being checked and cleaned is way more important then skin to skin and if your that concerned about it when the both of you are better and not all screwed up with the shock of birth then go for it strip that baby in a freezing hospital to have your" SkIn To SkIn" 😂

    The satisfied sounds I made when taking the glorious girthy diccs that got me pregnant were very different from the ones I made when I birthed unmedicated three times, because pushing out the babies was most definitely painful. Still worth it though ❤

    Amazing 👏❤❤👏!! I was able to have my youngest and last baby at home in this same manner. I was 41 years old and it was one of the most satisfying moments in a mother's life. Everyone has their own reasons for home birthing. People will be CRAZY judgemental. I did so much research before making the decision. It wasn't about winning an imaginary trophy or any other of the snarky things people might say. I had very low platelets by 6 months and was told I wouldn't be able to have epidural when the time came. I had horrible experience with previous birth getting an epidural and long term negative consequences. I needed to be able to labor naturally this time. My hospital did not allow mothers to labor in water. If they had I would have hired a doula to aid me at the hospital. I needed the aid of being submerged in warm water to get through labor. If I were to have been in hospital they would have no doubt pushed for a c-section because of my baby having a little hard time and needing some manual help coming on through. Anyway I support home births when everything is in place to be safe delivery. If U.S. hospitals would offer the choice of natural birthing units on site (like they do in the UK) it would help take the stress of setting up for home birth out of the equation. Being born in America really is just a huge business. Where I live we have one of the HIGHEST c-section rates in America.

    I have had 4 kids. I only got skin to skin with baby #4. It was the most incredible memory I will ever have. I was robbed of this with my 1st 2 babies (baby #3 I couldn't he was a premie). It makes me so angry I did not know how to advocate for myself or make a birthing plan.

    They usually don't let you get into another position, they force you to push on command, and also they make you hold your breath because "that's how everyone should do it"

      @@LanipLevality literally every woman here had a strange birth experience, they were all just so neglected to that point that they gave up. We are going into labour knowing we are gonna get yelled at, not respected, and we are gonna have to be in pain. Some doctors even punched some women, closed their mouths shut etc. so yea, good luck to me. I'm due in 20 days and i just honestly don't know what to expect

      Truth., I had 3 normal deliveries and they let me hold my breath then they count to 10 then breathe start again to hold breath until the baby comes out.

      They cannot force you to push - they can tell you to, but YOU are in control of your body. They also cannot make you stay on your back. They can’t hold you down or push you. Tell them no 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I don't remember delivering the placenta at all. I'm not sure how it came out 😅 maybe the doctor just scooped it out. I just remember my daughter being plopped on my chest, disassociating, and thats it. I remember being angry at the hospital staff interrupting what little sleep I got for the next 2 days to take the baby away to get her shots and being annoyed at their pathetic attempt to help me latch her. They'd just show me then walk away..sink or swim, I guess. The best moment for me was going home and getting actual sleep. I was so tired, I fell asleep on the ground with the baby in the crook of my elbow.
